Russian security chief: Al Qaeda is behind European forest fires
“One should note that setting fires to forests in the countries of the European Union is a new tendency in al-Qaeda’s strategy of a ‘thousand cuts’,” Alexander Bortnikov said, according to state news agency RIA Novosti, at a meeting of heads of security agencies.
“This method allows (al-Qaeda) to inflict significant economic and moral damage without serious preliminary preparations, technical equipment or significant expenses.”
In linking al-Qaeda to the deadly wildfires, Mr Bortnikov pointed to calls to launch a “forest jihad” by various extremist websites which he said also publish detailed instructions about how and where to best carry out arson.

And Europe’s answer will likely be a “Smokey the Bear” campaign.

This is something I fear could happen here too. Would devastate the Western States.

So, do they wear a suicide bomb vest and blow themselves up next to the dryest oak tree?

There have been a few big fires already that I wondered about.

Of course this will be approached in the West as a “new tactic”.
Just like cell phone activated road side bombs – sorry, they’re IEDs now – were “new” in Iraq and a’stan years after being used against Israel.
There is a price when ignoring and excusing it elsewhere.

It was only a matter of time. We’ve been talking about this since some big fires here in the southwest in 2003. So, they will start here too if they haven’t already.
Are we allowed to fight fires that were started in the name of the prophet, or would that be offensive also?

EUs response: Burn down the forests, build more mosques.
If you are in a forest, be wary of any bears dressed in burkas.

Can we put in some firebreaks now please? Can we cut down dead and diseased trees?

The fires in Australia a few years back were thought to have been started by Muslims. There were instructions issued and fires began. The government would have no such besmirchment of noble Muslim/australians and so it was ignored. If they put their excrement in the food they make for you when they are grumpy, what’s a little conflagration to a grievanced ‘Slum out to get the infidel to please Allah and get the babes.

So we here in the US say that these slug slimes have their fingers in our numerous fires here to crater our forests and farm land?
It seems that this could be so, but ligntening could do the same thing?
