Potential successor to John Kerry in the Senate: Scott Brown?
Their logic: If Warren, a Democrat, wins Sen. Scott Brown’s (R-Mass.) seat and President Obama wins reelection — and then appoints Kerry to his Cabinet — that would leave Brown the favorite to take Kerry’s Senate seat in a special election.
And whether or not Democrats keep their Senate majority come November, the upper chamber will be narrowly divided next year — perhaps a 50-50 split. Plus, Democratic leaders face another daunting electoral map in the 2014 election cycle, when they will have to defend 20 seats, compared to only 13 up for reelection in the GOP column.
That could leave Obama unlikely to risk a safe Democratic seat to fill the job of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who has said she’ll leave Foggy Bottom early next year.

How ’bout we just go for a Brown win in November and even worry about these “what ifs’.

If this were to happen (i.e., fake Indian and fake American wins) it really doesn’t matter. We would be hosed.

There could be worse outcomes, I guess. I have a feeling MA would like to have both Warren and Scott Brown, so this could work.

How about Brown wins in November, somebody competent is appointed to State in the Romney administration, and Kerry shuts up. Everybody wins.

What if a unicorn really does exist and does poop skittles. What then?
Consider the ramifications of that!

What if is good stuff.
What if we re-animate the corpse of Teddy Kennedy and make him Secretary of Drink and Swimming Services?

Nothing matters if that happens. Rush was right, these establishment types truly do not believe Obama can lose.

I beg to differ, we don’t feel that way about Scott Brown here, we know that every really contested race in MA is tight because there are a lot of government and union workers on the other side. In Browns case he takes the union workers who do things like police and fire.
Brown is a good Senator, but he would be an even better governor if that is what happened. Duval Patrick, we have heard is looking for positions in the Obama government, he’s a trip, you all are missing out.
In MA, they don’t have primaries on the dem side, hardly ever, and so it is a bunch of men who have held most of the jobs since the 1970′s, it’s full of cronyism, nepotism, and just outright corruption. Duval Patrick averts his eyes, like he does from everything.
The 2008 presidential election drew 3 million voters in MA with 1,904,097 for Obama Biden.
The Brown Special election drew 2,253,727 voters with 1,168,178 for Brown.
However Patrick’s gubernatorial election did not draw those crowds, winning with only 1,112,283 votes out of 2,319,963 cast.
Notice that more actual voters voted for Brown than Patrick.
That is why you have to whoop the moonbats up on contraceptives and abortions and gay marriage. They don’t really come out to vote unless there is something personal in it for them.
