New Obama panic: Romney crowd sizes
The recent frantic email theme to supporters from Team Obama about Mitt Romney’s run-away fundraising successes has been expanded to the crowd size gap between the thousands who rushed out over the weekend to see Romney and new running mate Rep. Paul Ryan and the hundreds who cheered on President Obama.
The big worry expressed in a new email from Obama’s Chicago HQ: “The Republican base is energized.” The reason: Romney attracted 15,000 at a rally over the weekend.

Is Barry going to cry when giving his concession speech?
Dusty on August 13, 2012 at 11:54 PM
It’s just fundraising letter stuff. It’s always hyerbole.
I think Mitt claimed 10,000 at the rally, so naturally the Dems up it to 15,000 to add emphasis to getting donations in.

That e-mail is hilarious.
To watch the panicked rats is schadenfreudig.

Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day scared the hell out of libs. On their sites Chick-fil-A stories are now flooded with “Quit talking about them!!” comments. Had they the upper hand here, it’d be non-stop bullying of the franchise by the media.

He’ll probably bill it as a “To Be Continued” speech. After all, he’ll be eligible to run for another 4-year term in 2016, and so decree that in 2012 the electorate merely granted him a leave of absence or sabbatical as a reward, for him to rest up after all the hard work he’s done for the American people.
He’s about that deluded. Valerie probably could make him believe it.

Fair enough sir, but the ficked up soup sandwich voters of America could make it happen. Never say never. Bill Clinton is still popular as is the blonde she hag.
arnold ziffel on August 14, 2012 at 12:18 AM
Same with me. Although as I am in NY, I don’t see it happening.
It is only a 2 hr. drive to Scranton though, and they may have reason to show up there…
Gingotts on August 14, 2012 at 12:22 AM
I want to see them in person too. But alas Republicans don’t bother with New York. Maybe somewhere in PA or eastern OH?
magicbeans on August 14, 2012 at 12:23 AM
Wrong movie character. Try the Reverend Deke O’Malley (played by the late great Calvin Lockhart) from COTTON COMES TO HARLEM, Obama to a T, right down to the cynicism and ultimate exposure of the con.
ebrown2 on August 14, 2012 at 12:27 AM
Oooooh boy should Team Obama be worried. And not just about the crowd sizes. He’s running even with Romney while Romney has been fighting with one hand tied behind his back. In less than two weeks the floodgates will open, and all of that money Romney has been stockpiling for the last few months will rush out of the gates and swamp Obama.
How confident are you feeling about Obama’s communication skills now that he doesn’t enjoy a 2-1 spending edge, Democrats? Its going to be November 2010, all over again.
Lawdawg86 on August 14, 2012 at 12:37 AM
..remember the old gag about “The Hook” in Vaudeville when an act stunk up the barn? This chump gets blown out on 6 November and I’ll guarantee you he’ll get 10 words out of his mouth and they’ll be hustling his hatch-ass off stage. It’ll be like one of those old Jack Benny shows:
“Well, we’re running a little late tonight, folks, so g’night!”
The real thrill will be watching the Donks try to airbrush Mr Hopenchange from the annals of their friggin’ history books. My money’s on the fact that we last see this guy stone dead in some Chicago alley wearing sequined panties, 9-inch platform heels, and a hot shot needle sticking in his arm.
The War Planner on August 14, 2012 at 12:37 AM
..er, that’s hatchet-ass, of course.
The War Planner on August 14, 2012 at 12:38 AM
Oh yeah.
My suggestion of Chauncey Gardiner was that like Obama, everyone thinks he’s something that he’s not. He’s whatever they WANT him to be when in reality, he’s pretty much a moron living someone else’s life in someone else’s clothes.
TKindred on August 14, 2012 at 12:39 AM
..naw, mate, it’ll be so bad, it’ll make a nape strike seem like a Spring rain shower.
The War Planner on August 14, 2012 at 12:42 AM
What’s with the obsession on donating “$3″? Haven’t they heard of the saying,”queer as a three dollar bill”? Oh wait.
AH_C on August 14, 2012 at 12:51 AM
It is interesting to speculate (and not to worry, arnold ziffel on August 14, 2012 at 12:18 AM, I’m a realist, he ain’t beat yet), whether he’ll be given the “Jimmah who?” treatment or the JFK “Obammy we hardly knew ye” apotheosis in Dem lore. My guess is he’ll be regarded as a sacrificial lamb, an affirmative action martyr, the Man Who Was Too Good To Be Our President.
And, who knows, probably half the Dems will regard his concession speech as something like MacArthur’s after Corregidor.
de rigueur on August 14, 2012 at 1:03 AM
That’s fine, let ‘em have it, as long as MacArthur’s “I shall return” moment is not repeated.

I had a terrible thought today…. When Pres. Obama loses in November (which I hope/think he will), he can run again for another term in 2016 or 2020.
acasilaco on August 14, 2012 at 3:10 AM
I just hope we actually have an election in November. I doubt O and his ‘cohorts’ (Soros, et. al.) plan to allow it.
I really hope I am wrong. But Egypt has (recently moved) tanks lined up on Israel’s Sainai border; Ahmadinejad is ready to pop; Syria is imploding (with McCain cheering on Al Qaeda’s ‘rebel forces’ (!)), the left/O/Islamist orchestrated arab spring is a reality.
O as well as Holder and his Justice Department are outlaws. I’ve lost count of their illegal and unconstitutional actions by now. Hillary’s sidekick* (Weiner’s wife) sat next to the Muslim Brotherhood’s U.S. leader at the White House Iftar dinner a few nights ago, where O lauded freedom of religion for the 1%. *Her ties to the MB were also exposed recently.
O signed an EO allowing a shut down of the internet within the last two months. Drones are flying over our cities. Power grids can be shut down.
Etc.
I repeat: I hope I am wrong. But heads up and prayers for all of you, particularly beginning in October. . .

I think this is probably just standard fundraising tactics… that said conservatives should push this framing for all it’s worth. Obama is scared of Ryan/Romney because he knows his record is terrible and they have a good plan etc etc.
