Book: Obama canceled Bin Laden ‘kill’ raid three times at Jarrett’s urging
At the urging of Valerie Jarrett, President Barack Obama canceled the operation to kill Osama bin Laden on three separate occasions before finally approving the May 2, 2011 Navy SEAL mission, according to an explosive new book scheduled for release August 21. The Daily Caller has seen a portion of the chapter in which the stunning revelation appears.
In ”Leading From Behind: The Reluctant President and the Advisors Who Decide for Him,“ Richard Miniter writes that Obama canceled the “kill” mission in January 2011, again in February, and a third time in March. Obama’s close adviser Valerie Jarrett persuaded him to hold off each time, according to the book.
Miniter, a two-time New York Times best-selling author, cites an unnamed source with Joint Special Operations Command who had direct knowledge of the operation and its planning.

Wrong. Read both of your excerpts again. One is asking, who of the two is more honest and trustworthy. The other asks is X honest and trustworthy and THEN compares the numbers for the two.

The way I heard it, Panetta went around Obama and Jarrett and made the call before Jarrett could intervene. That’s also why they had to pull Obama off the golf course — he didn’t know until the last minute that it was going down.

Well, it seems to me this story was up on DC last evening and was then taken down (or moved since the page linked returned a ’404 does not exist’ from DC.
I wonder what is going on here.
In any case, I don’t know why it would be scrubbed. It is reporting a fact that a book is asserting this. That wouldn’t change unless the book doesn’t assert this, and if it does not then there should just be an update to that effect.

I couldn’t agree more, and I’m so surprised more people haven’t honed in on this.
I still think our SEALS were “payment” to the Pakistan government for the gross violation of their airspace and sovereignty, to help them calm the blood thirsty cries for revenge from the Pakistani Muslims.
It’s the only explanation that makes sense, and I can’t believe no one is digging into this. It’s a travesty.

As I remembered. Thanks for being more precise about the timing as I couldn’t find where I originally saw it to check the time.
Anyway, I’ve looked a little more at this browser/google thingie and it appears that there is an intermediary called stopbadware.org which may also be the intermediary wrt to when a notice is put up by Firefox. If so, the source of attacks may be through their report sites clearinghouse, which then set off both the firefox browser and the accompanying google info page.
I don’t know but this stuff should be investigated and, if DC is relying on stopbadware.org to know if the problem was an actual attack, as they are inferring by their tweets, or just a malicious report, then maybe they shouldn’t be doing that.
Here’s is stopbadware’s report page. As you’ll notice, one can report ‘anonymously’. Just saying.

Oh, and now that I’m done inferring a potential problem with stopbadware.org, I remembered something I had recalled, yesterday about the story. Did you read that one of the reasons there were 3 or 4 postponements in the raid was that there were always visitors to OBL’s lair? I seem to recall that there was a report that the place was a veritable revolving door for all sorts of terrorist bigwigs and Pakistani/other officials or something to that effect.
If so, that might be good(?) reason in some minds to postpone the raid, especially diplomatically. All heqq would break loose if the result of the raid showed that we killed a bunch of high ranking government people who were visiting OBL.

Slumlord Valerie Jarrett is running our country. It’s a complete debacle with potentially dire consequences. How arrogant do these people have to be??? They’ve never actually accomplished ANYTHING outside the chrony capitalism and politics of Chicago, and now these radical nutjubs are making decisions with GLOBAL implications; and more importantly, our individual freedoms???
