Axelrod: Romney’s ads are making people think Obama’s running a negative campaign
David Axelrod: Partly, Joe, that’s because the Romney campaign and their friends in the Super PAC world have just spent tens and tens of millions of dollars specifically on spots accusing Obama of running a negative campaign. So, I’m not surprised to see those numbers, generally.
[laughter]
Scarborough: So, it’s not you’re negative ads, it’s their negative ads accusing you of being negative that is causing –
Axelrod: I think that had an impact on the numbers.

When you’ve lost Joe “Rock-Ribbed Conservative” Scarborough . . .
Naturally Curly on July 25, 2012 at 10:59 AM
Maybe it’s because Obama is, in fact, running a negative campaign, Dave.
When you accuse your opponent of a felony without proof, that’s pretty damn negative.

Axelrod didn’t deny making negative ads when Scarborough said “So it’s not your negative ads, it’s their negative ads about your negative ads…”
My feeling that this crew is actually going to win in November makes me wonder whose side God is on.

You can’t make this stuff up.
This must be their “going nuclear” plan.

Ed, have you considered running an “Axelrodism Of The Day” column?
His pronouncements have turned into my daily coffee chuckles.

-So why aren’t talking about your own record then, Mr. Axelrod, instead of even giving the impression that you’re going negative?
“Uhhhh….listen I have another interview to get to, so I’ll have to go now.”

Obama and the rest of us have been too busy running on his record that we haven’t had time to mention Bain Capital, War on Womyn Contraceptive Rights, Ann Romney’s horses, Swiss bank accounts, and outsourcing

Orwellian, indeed.
All they have is the sheeple vote. Let’s just hope more of us than them show up in November.

Any day that Axelrod is on TV acting as a surrogate for Obama is a good day for Romney.
Obama must have the worst group of surrogates of any candidate in history. Not one of Obama’s surrogates is believable.

The Dem bench is pretty thin all around these days.
Bill Clinton was the go-to mouthpiece for the administration until he started “slipping” in his comments, which tells me that he got tired of Barry telling him “I don’t want your advice, just slop out my bullshite.”
The rest of his surrogates range from the slimy, like Axelrod and Jarrett, to the insane, like Biden.

The negativity of Obama’s campaign has gone meta.

Well, that’s not their fault.
BlueCollarAstronaut on July 25, 2012 at 11:34 AM
Speaking of Scarborough, it is sad to imagine that Steven Schmidt and Mark McKinnon who were at the helm of a McCain campaign less than four years ago were both giggling idiots on this morning’s show practically cheering a Romney defeat. What makes me think both are unemployed save for their MSNBC gigs.
