Unemployment has dropped in every state that elected a Republican governor in 2010
On the other hand, the unemployment rate in states that elected Democrats in 2010 dropped, on average, as much as the national rate decline and, in some states such as New York, the unemployment rate has risen since January of 2011.
This is yet another example of how the so-called “blue state” model is not working.

And because of that it will be an advantage for Obama in all of those swing states or some such noise…

It is irresponsible for Republicans to be creating all those jobs.

Unemployment is clearly racist.

I wonder how many of those states got jobs that are hemorrhaging out of my state (California)? I see one state on the list that just got a boost of new jobs from here.

Yeah, but only because of Barack’s stimulus!

Are we talking states that went from Blue to Red?

its amusing, fossil fuels and GOP governors keep Obama’s america afloat.

You mean like Michigan and Ohio, where the auto industry saved by president Obama was a huge contributor?
The other thing these governors like to do is on the one hand they bad-mouth the stimulus and on the hand they like to take pictures with the stimulus projects and take credit for it. Some of them, like little Scotty, took federal money for struggling home owners and used it to balance the state budget.

Unemployment dropped every year for three straight years after the passage of the second part of the Bush Tax Cuts. Oh, and revenues went UP every year for four straight years, such that revenues in FY 2007 were 44% larger than revenues in FY 2003.
Truths the media won’t tell you.

This looks like statistical noise. I wouldn’t put much stock in it.

I consider these two graphs “must see” on the topic of party control and it’s effect on (un)employment…

Wait! I thought all the Republicans wanted high unemployment so that O would lose the election.
Corsair on July 8, 2012 at 9:46 PM
This is statistically meaningless. You could just as well have said, “All states which elected governors, other than New York, saw their unemployment rate fall.” And, of course, this doesn’t even get into the nature of employment in the various states (which industries, etc). Awful article.

Also, if we’re going to be fair, we need to understand what the U6 is in these states. Let’s not hold ourselves to a lower standard than we do the left.
