Gingrich: Romney’s earned the nomination
Former White House candidate Newt Gingrich says Mitt Romney has “earned the right to represent the Republican Party” against President Barack Obama and that he’ll help Romney’s campaign in any way he can.
Gingrich says Romney has “fought his way to the nomination” and that “nobody gave him an inch.”
Gingrich also tells CNN’s “State of the Union” that he’s discussed speaking at events on Romney’s behalf.

Here’s a suggestion:
Keep your mouth shut and stay out of the way.
Thank you.

He bought it fair and square….
More like, idiots at the RNC back in 2008 figured they needed a juggernaut in 2012 to beat an 0bama they figured would still be personally more popular than his policies. They figured since the Right coalesced behind Romney in 2008 to stop McCain, that they had found their guy to build up.
Again, the problem is that things happened between 2008 and 2012 that hurt Romney’s chances—most notably, 0bamacare. Back in 2008, the RNC judged we’d be able to stop it.

In a sense, they all do. Like it or not, cash plays a large part in winning elections. So does superior organization.
Well, if we didn’t like what they were doing, we had an opportunity to do it differently. We failed. So, whose fault was that?

If so then why has Romney lost several states in a row to Ron Paul?
Ron Paul just won Maine and Nevada this weekend!
FloatingRock on May 6, 2012 at 1:20 PM
All Romney has “earned” are a relatively small number of large donations from his corporate cronies and free propaganda from the corporate media. The grass-roots that money can’t buy (legally) is backing Ron Paul, and that’s why Ron Paul is on a winning streak.

Earned it? It fell into his lap.
rickv404 on May 6, 2012 at 1:25 PM
Because Romney will have the necessary number of states’ delegates committed to him at the convention. Ron Paul will not. It isn’t hard.

If thing keep going like this then Ron Paul will be the nominee, IMO.

I wish. Newt isn’t capable of either.

And Newt earned his defeat. He can take his class warfare and stick it.

RINO!!!
joe_doufu on May 6, 2012 at 1:42 PM
It’s not what I think that matters, it’s the truth, which is that Ron Paul just trounced Romney in Maine and Nevada this weekend, and those are only the most recent two states. Romney is on a losing streak, that is a fact.
FloatingRock on May 6, 2012 at 1:49 PM
Ron Paul won Maine and Nevada in spite of the Romney supporters documented dirty tricks.

Lemme guess: Newt’s a RINO sell-out — and everyone here is votin’ for Barack to teach him a lesson. Yeah, yeah. I’ve heard it all before. Blah, blah RINO, blah, blah sell-out, blah, blah votin’ for Obama cuz he’s just the same as Romney, blah, blah, blah. Carry on.

Yeah…much like a last-chance benchwarmer ‘earned’ a chance to go to bat in the bottom of the 9th, with the bases loaded, because all the other batters had been caught drinking in the dugouts.
