Romney meets with 60 conservative magazine editors and bloggers in D.C.
The attendees came from numerous conservative sites and right-of-center publications, including National Review, Daily Caller, American Spectator, Washington Examiner, Right Wing News, Powerline, Townhall, Ace of Spades, Rhiel World View, WorldNetDaily, and Pajamas Media. RNC chairman Reince Preibus also attended…
“The basic message I got is the primary’s over and we want you on our side and working with the campaign,” said one attendee. Another described the meeting as “sort of an olive branch to conservative media.”…
During a Q&A period, attendees brought up Fast and Furious, the botched U.S. gunrunning sting that conservative outlets have given more attention than the national media, along with concerns that the Romney campaign will continue leaking to establishment outlets, including ABC News and Politico, rather than conservative ones.
Some conservative journalists left satisfied with what they heard.

I will enjoy drinking your tears of unfathomable rage & sadness when he defeats Obama, you liberal troll.

Not surprised.
You watch. He’ll leak to the Propaganda Ministry just like all campaigns run by the Stupid Party do.
This was just a box that had to be checked by the campaign.

Any “conservative media” outlet that believes a word coming out of this lying sack of shit’s mouth is not worth reading.

This is from HuffPo from unnamed sources.
Having said that, if this is true I found it to be highly amusing:
So conservative outlets need help with Obama oppo research? When they’ve been writing about him for some 4+ years? When Breitbart has been digging through the past? This makes no sense. HuffPo either garbled it up or the Romney campaign has more than its share of hubris.

Establishment GOP journalists back establishment GOP candidate…to the surprise of no one. I am shocked that they don’t have weekly meetings to distribute Romney talking points.

I wish I could say it was nice knowing you, Angryed, but your a miserable soul that has made this a less enjoyable place.
That said, get help. You’re on your way to heart-attack, aneurysm, or a breakdown.

Ha, ha. I just realized Dan Riehl’s name is on the list. I highly doubt he’s one of the group of “some conservative journalists left satisfied with what they heard.”
After reading some things written by those in this group, this meeting must have had some tense and hostile undercurrents.

ACE? That’s a big effing deal. It’s like joining up with a conservative Lenny Bruce which is sorta counter-intuitive for Mitt’s image.

Were you on the call Buy An Apple Danish? I would assume a paid shill such as yourself would have been there.

Looks like Mitt wants to turn the “conservative media” into what the mainstream media has become.

I’m almost afraid to ask lest I be missing something so obvious it’s embarrassing, but what did he say that was bannable? I’m not defending him – I can’t stand the endlessly raging faux-conservative foot soldier for the Preezy, but I’m not getting what was extraordinarily objectionable about that particular comment.

Aw, crossed post. I’m not paid anything Rage Boy. How about you? I’m thinkin’ Axelrod in particularl appreciates your efforts.

After some of the few ” blogger starts drinking” and ” dude I’m nervous” posts, I’m sure he is considered a RINO by now in some circles… Including his own threads. Lol.

The highlight of the proceeding featured an act involving Jen Rubin and that Tijuana donkey.
That’s got to be the only explanation for why Riehl showed up.

Ha! Why would a man so “severely Conservative” need to be offering olive branches to “Conservative media”? Hasn’t Romney had three several years to build a relationship there?
With the exception of National Review, all of those news sites listed above would seem to be the ones Williard hasn’t bought off yet.
I wonder if any of the assembled asked where Norm Coleman(Romeny’s chief Health Care advisor) got the idea that “we’re never going to repeal the whole thing” when speaking of Obamacare on that televised panel a few months ago.

Conservative bloggers blog. I’m not aware they actually convince anyone of anything, so I don’t know what this accomplished. Do you think you change people’s hearts and minds, Ed, or do you just confirm their already-held beliefs?

IOW, nothing changes. Most right of center “media” have been on Willard’s short bus for some time.
