Hey girl, it’s Paul Ryan

The Ryan-themed site, which draws inspiration from another Tumblr site poking fun at actor Ryan Gossling, features news photos of the Wisconsin Republican juxtaposed with fiscally-inspired pick up lines, including “Stop, girl! Those Laffer curves are driving me wild” and “Girl, you must be an Obama entitlement program … because you are definitely raising my interest rate.”

You get the idea.

Emily Zanotti, a self-described “freelance political communications consultant and comedian from Chicago” who also blogs for NakedDC.com, said she and her friends got the idea for the site after wondering what Ryan — who enjoys “Noodling,” or catching catfish with bare hands — might look like shirtless as he chased after catfish in a river.

I discovered this about an hour ago, haha. Went through all seven pages. I put the interest rates/entitlement program one on my Facebook, and WILL use it at some point.

Neither is this really “poking fun” at Ryan.

I was surprised to see that this was actually quite good. The article states that the individual behind it is of “libertarian/conservative” persuasion, and it’s possible to tell that it’s friendly humor.

That’s good to hear…I didn’t find many (if any) of them to be of the mean-spirited Proggie sort.

Some of the comments (“notes” in Tumblrspeak) on the other hand…whoa.

I love Paul Ryan so I had to check it out. If I did that (above) right, its my favorite. He’s so cute.
