Could these two scandals dent Obama’s re-election lead?
With more and more unsavory details leaking out about the Secret Service Colombia sex scandal, it would come as no surprise if Secret Service Director Mark Sullivan were shown the gate before too long. The Obama White House has no compunction about firing underlings to try to blunt political controversy.
But it’s unlikely this mushrooming scandal will disappear any time soon, amid reports that nearly a dozen U.S. Secret Service agents and more than five military personnel caroused and consorted with prostitutes at a hotel in advance of Obama’s Colombia visit last week. And this comes on top of congressional hearings this week into revelations that General Services Administration officials squandered $823,000 on a Las Vegas retreat back in 2010 – complete with a $75,000 bicycle building exercise, a clown show and $6,325 spent on commemorative coins.

Beat me two it. I guess if you count the 47 scandals the media have decided to ignore, then yeah, there are only two.

“Lead”?
Scandals outnumbered the fired in this White House…

I think F&F has expended its political life. Nothing’s going to break the Justic Department’s stone wall on it.
Nice thing about the Obama administration, though, is that when Solyndra and Fast and Furious shuffle off, in comes Secret Service hookers and overfed bureaucrat swine. The scandal mill never wants for grist in the Age of Obama.

Fast and Furious ads on television showing guns and funerals might do the trick.

In their dreams, one can only imagine how many there will be.
It must be really depressing to the National Socialist Left that even if Barack is able to keep on Downgrading the country that he will most likely be impeached.

Such blatant display of wasteful spending. In a sane world – the pitchforks would be out for anyone who said the government needs more revenue (see Buffett Rule beggars). But, here we are…
CycloneCDB on April 18, 2012 at 1:42 PM
Doubtful. They won’t help a man who insists on giving the government more money and more power over the American people, but let’s not kid ourselves. If Fast & Furious, Solyndra, and the NBPP case dismissal did nothing to harm him, what will?
That being said, Romney shouldn’t hesitate to remind voters of all of this every chance he gets.
Doughboy on April 18, 2012 at 1:43 PM
Neither Romney nor Obama have much to worry about at this point among the “true believers” of their respective parties. Both candidates are pulling in 90%+ of their respective partisans. What makes the difference in this election is the center; the ones who don’t carry water for either party.
These scandals are going to be vary harmful to those in the center that adhere to the adage that “personnel is policy”. They see the cultures of these departments to be illustrative of the culture at the top that put these people into power.
Now lets have a broader look:
We have a White House that vacations and parties and travels about on the taxpayer dime. A President who takes his leisure time on the golf course seriously. That party culture in the White House now seems to extend to the departments. Remember, this is the PEOPLE’S TAX MONEY that funded that Las Vegas event and the hookers and blow in Columbia.
The overall appearance is an utter contempt and lack of respect for the taxpayer. They are just up there having a great time raiding the US treasury to fund the party of their lives.
The individual events themselves taken as isolated incidents aren’t as important as is the overall appearance of a massive party on the taxpayer’s dime.
These people have GOT TO GO.

Yes, all the scandals could put him further behind.
forest on April 18, 2012 at 1:49 PM
I agree. Individual serious scandals get downplayed by the media an obfuscated by the regime, and people don’t want to put in the effort to really dig in an understnad what happened.
But reports of coke snorting and hookers all over the place multiple times just makes leadership look terrible – an it’s real easy to visualize.
The ridiculous crap from the GSA will hurt Obama more than F&F which got hundreds of people killed. It’s kinda pathetic, but probably true.
