IRS: No, we never investigated Nikki Haley
ABC News has learned that the Internal Revenue Service never conducted an investigation into South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley’s involvement in a Sikh temple’s finances. Nanette Downing, Director of EO Examinations, stated in the letter, “…we did not conduct an examination for the above period (tax year ended 2009)”.
Eric Hill, a program manager at the IRS, said in a separate letter to Haley’s chief of staff Tim Pearson that “we determined an examination was not warranted at that time.”
Earlier this week, Logan Smith wrote for a little-known website, The Palmetto Public Record, that Haley, a Republican, faced a federal investigation of her finances and those of the Sikh Religious Society, with which her family has been associated…

Astonishing, the main stream press strikes again. They don’t check the sources and slime the conservative.

I want to investigate Nikki Haley.

I suspect it was just a scheme (maybe a Democrat scheme) to put the word “Sikh” out there and remind everybody of Haley’s “foreign roots,” if they didn’t already know.

Will Folks swears on his Sacred Honor that the allegations are true.
(He was the source of this rumour, just as he was the guy who made the BS allegations of an affair with Haley.)

This seem like old news to me.
Isn’t this the same question that got resolved as being a non-issue during her campaign for Governor?

What a weird intro ‘graph. According to this The Hill story Gov. Haley’s office provided the media with a letter from the IRS received late 2011 in which the IRS said no investigation is happening, so that “ABC has learned”, is more like ABC was beaten over the head by Haley with evidence they could have gotten if they’d asked first.
I doubt ABC has really learned much of anything.

Important to see this for what it is. This was leaked to blunt the Rubio/Ryan endorsements. Far Left Media was too enraptured in Trayvon to take the bait. They won’t make the same mistake twice.
These people will do anything to win again.

Was this ‘Newsweek/Daily Beasts’ attempted smear?

See, she has a history, she must be guilty.

In other news, the IRS states that it has not and is not investigating US President Barack Obama for tax evasion.

There was someone on here selling this last night and claiming how she was a Romney Rino.
I’m really hoping we don’t devolve into Democrats where we let the opposition win just because we’re waiting on some perfect candidate. (there will never be a perfect conservative). These people on here who say they won’t vote for Romney are missing the forest for the trees. And before I get called some Romney shill, I want to say that I worked for his opponent. It just didn’t happen.
cpaulus on March 31, 2012 at 2:44 AM
I think you are confused. This is a thread about Haley, not Romney.
cptacek on March 31, 2012 at 2:54 AM
I suspect you are right and it is a Democrat scheme. The Democrats claim to pray at the altar of diversity, but never miss an opportunity to slime someone a little different.
I think Haley would be a fabulous VP choice.

Yep, in the words of Maha-Rushie, “drive-by media”. Hit-and-run media.
petefrt on March 31, 2012 at 6:29 AM
But she’s not a Sikh-Sikh
LtGenRob on March 31, 2012 at 7:25 AM
Nikki Haley was born here. She is the daughter of immigrants from the Punjabi region of India.
She has been continuously slimed by the misbegotten whores of the media as well as the DemocRATS. Sadly, some Republicans have joined in. Establishment Republicans hit her the same way they hit Sarah Palin. Damn ‘em.

ABC is a joke, these days simply stooping to Goebbels level propaganda.
