Iraq’s “emo” murders: “Is this what we get because we dress in black?”
But it was the Iraqi government that first labeled emo teens a public menace.
On Feb. 12, the Interior Ministry released a statement condemning the “phenomenon of emo” as Satanic. The rebellious teenage fashions of dark clothes, skull-print t-shirts and nose rings, the ministry said, were emblems of the devil…
For at least six years, gay Iraqis have been bullied and harassed by security forces and beaten and killed by reactionary Islamist militias in heavily Shiite areas of Baghdad…
In one photo, a handsome young man in a white jacket, dark aviator sunglasses and coifed black hair stands as if he were posing for a Gucci advertisement. In another, the vacant, bloody face of a man with similar features stares up at the sky. His body lies in the bed of a police pickup truck.

You cannot expect to be overt in Iraq without drawing the attention of the most violent elements of that society.

If they didn’t have gays and “emos” they’d be stoning women to death.
And go read about it on any lib leaning web page and you’ll get 99% comments screaming “Booooooosh!”. You know, he’s not doing anything about these recent last weeks murders in broad daylight.
Obama needs to apologize, calm things down.

Nation building is always the way to go, when trying to do the right thing, in the Middle East. Another proven winner is “dialogue” with nuke building rogue nations.

And this is the religion of peace the libs think is so wonderful. Most of them wouldn’t survive a week under their power. And I’d dearly love to see the “gimmes” asking the muslims for free contraceptives.

Islamophobia, last I heard.

These poor kids. It’s good to remember and appreciate some of the freedoms we still have here.

Obama needs another Nobel, this time an ‘earned’ one.
Lefties are the most illiberal of all the people in the world, with Obama their king.

Islam is long overdue for a reformation. This is no different than Christianity during the times of witch burnings, scientific persecution, and religiously encouraged violence and targeting of those deemed in Christian.
In fact there’s at least one poster her on HotAir today who just said:
No Trafalgar, they don’t have a point there. Our religion has been through every bit of what Islam goes through these days, theirs is just younger and hasn’t yet been modified and cooled out as ours was forced to do at one point.
This is sickening, and merely another example of how religion and hard adherence to centuries old doctrines can breed violence. The only reason it doesn’t still happen in the Christian world is because we long ago figured out that taking ours as seriously as many Islamists take there’s breeds the exact same results.
