It’s very easy to excite the base with incendiary comments. We’ve seen throughout the campaign if you’re willing to say really outrageous things that are accusative, attacking of President Obama, that you’re going to jump up in the polls. I’m not willing to light my hair on fire to try and get support. I am who I am. I’m a person with extensive experience in the private sector, in the economy.

Look at Santorum. He tells the base that he is against bailouts, then he turns around and tells the Democrats to vote against Romney because he was against the auto bailouts. That’s dishonest.

What’s dishonest is the attendant implications, yes. But Santorum did not actually utter a single untruth in any of those robocalls that I saw transcripts for. That being the case, I am still of the opinion that the field stinks like a well-used whore, but don’t blame us Santorum supporters for it. Santorum is now officially on my list down at #5 or so of presidential candidates I would *like to* vote for.

All of these people have spoken out of both side of their mouths. I fully expect to vote for the nominee and expect to be less than thrilled no matter who it is.

Ditto that. The biggest mistake rombots make in dealing with me is starting from the assumption that my support for Santorum, such as it is, is enthusiastic. Nothing could be farther from the truth.
