Maybe a long primary battle would be good for Romney
A drawn-out fight for the Republican nomination could work to frontrunner Mitt Romney’s advantage if he uses it to develop his campaign structure in swing states key to beating President Barack Obama in November.
That’s what happened in 2008, when Obama built a formidable organization that registered hundreds of thousands of new voters and signed up an army of volunteers during his own long primary battle with Hillary Clinton…
Winning over independents and mobilizing less riled-up supporters still requires strong, local organizations able to knock on doors, make phone calls and even drive supporters to the polls.
“We have not seen that on the Republican side,” an Obama campaign official told AFP.

Uhm, we were told repeatedly the faster the better. It’s why every state was moved up. Nice try, tho.

Oh dear God, does that mean they will be sending bluegill to my house!

Scary thought, if he doesn’t make it this time will he be back again in 2016?

I am not sure it matters anymore. All the candidates are lousy and stand for big gov’t progressive ways.
I don’t know how any candidate is going to compete against Romney, you tell me;

No, it’ll be Jeb in 2016. Romney will have already lost twice. Even the Stupid Party is not going to be so stupid as to waste another election on the guy.

I don’t have anything against Jeb, but I just can’t see that working out either.

Coffee + Laptop is not a good combination.

Sorry, but that was the first thing that popped in my head when I read that. I think if it ends up that we have to vote for Romney we should all make his campaign people come pick us up and drive us to the polls!

Jeb was a pretty good governor. Fortunately Rick Scott hasn’t had a chance to show his mettle yet, but when it came to handling disasters like hurricanes, Jeb was tops IMHO.

I wouldn’t have a problem with it. I have to admit that my daughter and I still love George W, no matter what anyone says. She was 8 when he left office and she was crying her eyes out, and she said “Obama can suck it!” It was one of those moments when as a good mother you have to correct them, but secretly you’re laughing. LOL
