Finally: Virtual reality contact lenses that beam images directly into your eye
The devices can ‘pair’ with smartphones and portable game devices to deliver up-close video – or switch to a translucent ‘augmented reality’ view, where computer information is layered over the world we know.
Crucially, the devices can be worn while moving about – previous bulky ‘VR headsets’ have blindfolded their users and can only be used sitting down.
The effect could be similar to the lenses worn by Tom Cruise in Minority Report.

Great. Now we can have people running around with 3 dimensional delusions, instead of the standard daydream images.
What could go wrong? I could be left trying to talk to one of these idiots without a translator matrix algorithm.

You need a pair of these. It’s old tech but hey, they’re only a buck.

It’s been nearly 10 years since I saw Minority Report(great flick, BTW), but a similar device was featured in Tom Cruise’s most recent Mission Impossible movie.

I foresee a whole new breed of students cheating in classes.
How is a teacher going to know? “Okay class, put away your glasses and contacts.” Instant discrimination lawsuit.
No need for notes under the brim of a hat or jotted on your palm or some other miniscule crib sheet. Just have a doc. file of the crib wifi’d directly to the lens. And, if you’re really ingenious, you’d be able to scroll, so you could access multiple pages, like a textbook.

Heard a rumor that they’re working on putting similar technology into condoms; combined, this should take the Internet porn industry to the next generation…
