President Obama swung through New York City on a fundraising tour on Thursday that included an impromptu singing performance on the stage of the Apollo Theater. After mentioning that legendary crooner Al Green was in the house, Obama broke into a few quick bars of Green’s hit “Let’s Stay Together.” Granted it was only one line, but politics aside, that’s not a bad impression of the Reverend Green. As the president pointed out, he wasn’t booed off the stage by the notoriously tough crowd and swept away by the theater’s “Sandman.”
