Palin: The establishment is trying to crucify Gingrich
“Look at Newt Gingrich, what’s going on with him, via the establishment’s attacks,” fmr. Gov. Sarah Palin said on FOX Business. They’re trying to crucify this man and rewrite history, and rewrite what it is that he has stood for all these years.”

Sarah Palin is on the side of a Conservative.
The Romneybots are losers that believe in nothing and have thrown in with liars and scumbags. There has only been 4 states so far and Romney is going to lose. Romney will lose. He likely wins Florida but it is one battle. The war will be fought. Conservatives will ultimately win. Sarah Palin will ultimately win. The Romney supporters that attack her for speaking truth don’t know how stupid they sound.

The Romney shills deserve a civil war with Conservatives. They are Charlie Crist Republicans!
CoolChange80 on January 27, 2012 at 2:14 PM
Sorry, I stopped reading when you began with talking about Mitt’s hair.
Go RBNY on January 27, 2012 at 2:14 PM
Actually, Palin knows exactly what kind of a political hit she took by not running. I’ve spoken with people who understand what’s going on inside that bubble she lives in. That said, she handled her withdrawal poorly.
Basically, there was some family opposition to her running, and I should also add that the Establishment we speak of made it clear that they were going to Goldwater her should she get the nomination. They are all in for Mittens.
Palin was going to run. But like any rookie candidate, she started too late, thinking that her name rec could get her past the organizational period of the spring. All she did was to give the Romney people the time to move Florida up and scramble the egg so she couldn’t compete. Now she knows better. However, what she did over the summer was beyond stupid, and I think she knows it.
She made a hash of things over the summer and was smart not to run. She’ll get her chance at some point, but first the GOP must have its Viking Funeral and get its severe a$$-kicking for forcing a squishtard like Mitt on the party.

This is not the hill to die on, Sarah. Go back to doing what you do best, attacking the enemy in the White House.

Hats off to you, sir!

Ah, well. When you’re older, then, perhaps.

Yep, Mitt-bots hate truth, decency and America. We see it here everyday.

These people hate Palin because she thinks principles are more important than their paychecks.
joe_doufu on January 27, 2012 at 1:50 PM
If Palin thought principles were important, she would not be supporting someone who has no principles. Sorry, but Palin jumped the whale with her support of Gingrich. She could have supported Bachman, Perry or Santorum if she cared about principles.
Palin is just trying to tick off the republican inner circle but what she is really doing is showing her lack of concern for the American people and the future of this country. And I am saying this as someone, who up until her “endorsement” of Newt, supported her. Look at my name…fight like a girl.
The only thing Sarah could do now to save herself, is actually endorse Santorum and say that she just wanted Newt to stop Romney in SC.

Say how City councils have you sat on? How many Cities have you been a Mayor of? How many Governmental departments have you chaired? How many States have been a Governor of? How many Presidential tickets have you been a Vice-Presidential candidate for?
Yet here you are giving Sarah Palin advice. The arrogance and stupidity of people who post on blogs and threads opining on Sarah Palin’s intelligence, accomplishments, achievements, records and decision making astounds me.

Santorum? The man who told Sarah to stay was at home because she is a mother and have all those kids to feed. That misogynist?
HerneTheHunter on January 27, 2012 at 2:25 PM
Well, the establishment IS trying to crucify Gingrich. Lots of people in the DC clique are plainly trying to convince the country that Gingrich is nuttier than Ron Paul, by hammering us with one story after another, designed to make Gingrich sound either insane or like an @sshole.
Are we supposed to think that Palin is wrong about this?
Aitch748 on January 27, 2012 at 2:26 PM
No, Palin’s in the side of Newt Gingrich, not “a conservative”. Newt is many things but “conservative” is a reach.
alchemist19 on January 27, 2012 at 2:27 PM
I agree on many points (including the sucker), but not that the Establishment wanted this slate. They did everything they could to float their guys: Daniels, Christie, Jeb and more. Regardless of what was reported, they polled like lead sinkers. Christie did not have his national prime coverage for a speech to Nancy Reagan, just because she is nice. It was an attempt to float a heavy barge in shallow waters.
When is the first time Governor Christie had been called up to give one hour network state of the world address?
The Club is still trying. Daniels got the rebuttal to the SOTU. Wonder why?
One reason they could not float their elephants was Palin who sucked the wind out of their sails. One could pose a conspiracy plot of Palin plus (one of the remaining candidates) to triangulate the primary.
Politics get repetitive. This primary mimics the McCain primary, because the hammers are going soft on Santorum just like they were soft on Huckabee. Huckabee thought he was running., He was being allowed to stay in the race to hold his religious supporters for the convention. He did a good job.
No one wants Santorum out. He will pass his torch to whoever is left, if they speak nice. Santorum is criticized for his promotion of Arlen the Specter. But that was for Bush, who had a plan for amnesty, and Santorum is or at least was, a team player. Did he know the details? Doubt it. Probably just was told he was part of an important mission. Some of the tea party newbies were suckered on the super committee
Too bad about Palin. She is so capable. No one can form a message like her. But trust is difficult to rebuild
entagor on January 27, 2012 at 2:27 PM
Yeah, something tells me from listening to Palin since South Carolina that she’s not going to walk the Via Dolorosa for Newt Gingrich.
That moonbase idea is nice, though.
Although they say Neil Armstrong once said that they ran into an Alien Posse up there who told us to get the heck off!
But of course, that was ONLY RUMOR!

Just finished reading the article on this by Jeffrey Lord. Nothing like the truth to erase the lies. What dedication that Chris Scheve displayed by going above and beyond to get this information and the truth out there.
I hope everyone reads this. Thanks to you also for bringing it out.
What lengths some will go to distort and lie about someone’s record is hard to understand. Those that do this are character-less as alt has said.
Great information. This goes into my con side which is growing.

Newt balanced the budget didn’t he? Newt got welfare reform passed didn’t he? Newt refused to go with Bush 41 when proposed and then raised taxes even after he promised not to didn’t he?
So, yes Newt is the conservative of the remaining candidates on that stage.

What I wrote is inarguable, and stands on its own, minus any pressing (or even apparent) need for third-party attempts at translation.
Whatever “extra” others elect to read into them, of their own free volition, is — quite simply — not my problem.
Kent18 on January 27, 2012 at 2:32 PM
Yeah, I just don’t buy any notion of Palin being part of an Establishment plot.
That said, she quite screwed the pooch last summer. She did so for the right reasons, imho. And she actually intended to run something of a knockoff of the Paul campaign. However, you can’t reinvent the wheel in this business. One of the things Palin will learn is that if you don’t start early, you might as well stay home.
I don’t care how much name rec she had. No money, no honey.
I think what you’ll start seeing, especially from CPAC onward, is Palin rebuilding her street cred with those outside her base like me who grew tired of what happened last summer and want to see performance and campaigning to retake the Senate and hold the House.
All that said, virtually nothing she can do can prevent the GOP from going through with its Frumist Suicide Pact this year. It is what it is.
victor82 on January 27, 2012 at 2:34 PM
“They’re trying to crucify this man and rewrite history, and rewrite what it is that he has stood for all these years.”
Sarah, Gingrich was for Cap and Trade, healthcare mandates, amnesty and bailouts all these years. It seems to me that it is Newt and his naive supporters like you who are trying to rewrite history.
On one hand,we are told that only what Gingrich did from 1994 to 1999 should be considered. Nothing after he left office should matter. HOWEVER we are also told that we should not care about his personal behavior when he was Speaker because it was such a long time ago.
Shouldn’t all of it matter? Shouldn’t we consider his entire record and past to this point? Isn’t that the only way we can gauge what he might do as President? The sad truth is that if you look at Newt in total, he is an immoral political opportunist. And that history cannot be rewritten or ignored no matter how often you try to deflect it.

There’s no “GOP establishment” in that there’s no tiny of group of men who plot world domination while laughing maniacally like cartoon villains. If that’s what MayBee is talking about, then yes, she’s right.
But I do think there’s an informal system of Washington power brokers, high ranked politicians, insiders, consultants, money men/big donors, and shills/hacks/yes men, that generally operates inside a closed circle of groupthink and can be reliably expected to have most of the same beliefs and ideas. The idea that these people DON’T talk to each other, don’t share ideas, and don’t move in the same social circles is ridiculous. Arguing that there is no establishment is essentially the same thing as arguing that there is no such thing as an “elite.”
The only real argument is what their exact beliefs are and which candidate they’re backing. I personally think they’re a bunch of soft liberals and leftists, and are backing Mitt Romney to the hilt, but your mileage may vary.
This nonsense about how there is no “establishment” is just meant to paint Romney’s opponents as conspiracy theorists and delegitimize them, that’s all.

Gingrich is 37-55 against Obama in national polls. Just as bad as Palin’s numbers. Palin’s support for an unelectable Washington insider surprises me, but I have found her increasingly incoherent over the last couple of months. She obviously doesn’t understand the significance of Gingrich’s support for Freddie Mac. She is no longer the anti-corruption hero.

Why does this Nation continue the national stupidity
when it comes to presidential polling???
Oh heaven forbid! Newt Gingrich is down by 18 points!!!!!!!!!!!!
And in March on 1980. Ronald Reagan was down 25 POINTS

It was portrayed so bad that they compared George HW Bush

that loser Ronald Reagan now huh!!!

HerneTheHunter on January 27, 2012 at 2:31 PM
One, that was over 20 years ago, Two, Newt did not do those things by himself. John Kasich and Rick Santorum actually wrote the welfare reform bill and Kasich the budget. Newt was just a mouthpiece.
Also, Santorum and a few others uncovered the House banking scandal and the post office scandal. Newt did not want to get involved in either. Newt was mostly responsible for getting NAFTA through. Santorum did not vote for it. And since Newt left the House, he has been for cap and trade, amnesty, the bailouts, health care mandates and other liberal policies.
So, Santorum is actually the most conservative candidate on that stage. Gingrich isn’t even number 2.

Have you noticed who the most vicious attackers of Gov. Palin are, it’s the azzsniffer Mittbot supporters. Just like in 2008 when she was the VP nominee. We palin supporters won’t forget, if Romneycare EVER gets the nomination we will destroy the socialist. If that means Obamasatan gets elected, so be it. We owe the Mittbots for their seek and destroy mission on Palin in 2008. peggy noonan, rich lowery, all the bushie’s and their dogs, steve schmit, Carl cameron, brit hume, karl rove, bill O’reilly et al…
No difference between Obamasatan & romneycare!!!

Since no changes were made with the Caucus & Open Primary States, I tend to agree with you. Major magnet for fraud, just like 2008.

You really don’t think I am as stupid as you are, do you?
Santorum never supported a mandate and that article even states that. In 1994, Teddy Kennedy and Hilary wanted to make employers responsible for their employees healthcare. It was a mandate that they wanted. Santorum was against it and thought that individuals should be responsible for their own insurance, IF THEY WANTED IT, and that companies should be allowed to provide health care or not.
It was not about a personal healthcare mandate. It was about a business healthcare mandate. Santorum believed, as did most republicans, that if people wanted health insurance, they should get it themselves or go to work for a business that provided it.
Santorum is the author of Health Savings Accounts which has allowed millions of Americans who are self insured to be able to afford health care.
Now peddle your ignorance somewhere else please.

The info on Bain was confusing. Whether they were lies and or distortions I’m not sure. Too many terms of Capitalism, Anti- Capitalism, Venture vs Vulture. From what I could tell it I could see both sides. Best Newt gave up on that; not a clear message. High finance isn’t my expertise:-) I did see the video of the two men on Greta, I think. I just put this whole Bain thing at the bottom of my priority list to be frank.

Selective conservatism? I can produce Newt on a couch with Pelosi and advocating Cap and Trade. Or Newt saying that the era of Reagan is over. Or Newt saying that Paul Ryan’s plan is right wing social engineering. Or Newt saying that he is for a federal healthcare mandate. Or Newt saying that Romneycare was just great. Or Newt saying that republicans need to be for amnesty to get the hispanic vote.
