No, we were spawned by magic shot down from space by an ancient skybeing.
Obviously.

Somebody didn’t read their holy books. Everybody knows it involves dirt and a spare rib or two.
Mind you, they’ll be infuriated whether you call them apes or dirtbags. Even when their apehood is a scientific fact and their dirtbaggery is spelled out in their own religious books they claim to believe. They like to think they are super duper special.
OOOh, another thread for the atheists to proselytize on.
Can we just skip ahead thru the discussion to where they admit they want to jail or kill all believers?
Confess away, reprobates.

Or, in your case, just gloss over that tiny problem, and it’s all downhill from there.
I thought science was supposed to debunk assumptions and not exploit them for purposes of assuaging the psyche of the fragile human mind. Perhaps, just perhaps, the study we humans call science can only take us so far in this universe.

Awww. Not like Christians haven’t annoyed people for millenia with THEIR proselytizing. Oh yeah, thats right, all the significant “conversions” to Christianity came at the point of a sword. Just like Islam. No wonder you’d be upset at mere “proselytizing”, when YOU had to resort to violence to change minds.
Atheism and agnosticism: growing all the time. Just like old Gingrich warned you, by the time your grandkids are your age, the US will be a secular atheist country. Enjoy!

Do you KNOW how Europe became Christian? Do you know how Christianity spread OUT of Europe, into the Americas and across Asia?
Hint: the exact same way Islam spread out of Arabia. With weapons, death, and a “convert or die” attitude. Christians today pretending their faith was spread peacefully are as laughable as a Muslim would be pretending the same. Yeah SOME people converted voluntarily. A scant few. But the big gains – whole countries, whole CONTINENTS, those sure as hell didn’t happen by peaceful missionaries and convincing arguments.

Actually, atheism and agnosticism are like parasites. In of themselves, they are not sustainable (witness the coming collapse of secular Europe). They can only exist in a host culture that is largely religious.

You have no idea what you are talking about. For starters, the most religious countries in Europe are the ones “collapsing”: Italy, Greece, Ireland, Portugal. The LEAST religious ones are in fine shape: Norway, Denmark, France, Sweden.
China is overwhelmingly atheist. Its doing a hell of a lot better than the US in terms of growth and development, or any religious Christian or Muslim country, for that matter.
