On behalf of anti-war activists: You’re welcome, America
As the United States completes its withdrawal from Iraq, it is worth pausing to remember the determined peace activists who opposed the war from the start, including one who took up their cause and became president.
On Friday, some of them will gather in Chicago at the Federal Plaza, where in October 2002 Barack Obama, then a member of the Illinois Senate, stepped onto the stage to oppose the looming Iraq war. The plaza should be remembered as the place where the long march to peace began…
Some peace activists view the fact that thousands of advisors and contractors will remain in Iraq on the U.S. Embassy payroll as evidence of a secret plan to continue the war by other means. But the war is as over as a war can be, and the peace movement should celebrate. Removing troops from Iraq will save tens of billions of dollars a year, and it will also save lives.

I called Tom a douche. That’s because he’s a douche. I’ve known that about Tom since ’68.
Oh, and the last time anybody told anyone in my family to address him as ‘lord’, I do believe they were tarred and feathered and run out of the country. We fought something of a revolution in order to get rid of annoyances like that.
You may have heard of it. It was in all the papers at the time.

If Libya acts up, we will spend billions more, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Pakistan, Afghanistan the same.
We will borrow forever because the Asians don’t know any better!
Somehow conservatives will magically cut a lot of domestic spending and bypass the democrats and moderates.

Sorry I’m late to the Fun, but let’s see I I can tear down a few of your Leftist Lies bricj-by-brick here.
1. The Democrats also signed off on that “lie”, in fact they were the ones who generated most of the intel claiming that Iraq had WMDs.
And remember, WMDs are not solely confined to nuclear weapons, they also include things like chemicals. We found them.
One Out
2. More military people died in non combat during the 8 years Democrat Bill Clinton was “Commander in Chief” than have died in Iraq and Afghanistan combined. But the only ones counting these numbers are you Cretins on the Left.
2 Outs.
3. That “100,000 Iraqi civilians dead” is open to interpretation; for instance the “Iraq War Logs” figure, which is just over 100,000, includes nearly 25,000
I hate to bore you with facts, kid, but civilians do die in wars. In World War 2, 3 times that many civilians died in The Netherlands. And even though there was no fighting to speak of in the United States, we lost 1,700 civilians in that War.
3 Outs. Thanks for playing!
