A Bloomberg run makes sense if we nominate a conservative. Its hard to see any bright lines between Bloomberg, Romney, and Obama in a general election campaign.

He would be the JOhn Anderson of 2012. Anderson didn’t really cost Jimmy Carter the election, but he took most of his votes from Carter so Reagan’s margin of victory was bigger. I knew a lot of Democrats who voted for Anderson but would never have voted for Reagan.

As a resident of NYC, I just have to say Stop It to all these ridiculous Bloomy stories. He has been a terrible, Nanny State mayor and he is nothing but a rich narcissist who ran for a 3rd term despite Term Limits provisions because he was stinkin’ rich and could thumb his nose at the laws.He has NO national constituency beside what imaginary speckles exist in his delusional mind. And he let the lawless OWS hooligans gain a foothold while prohibiting restaurants from serving french fries the way they want.

So Stop It already. JUST — STOP — IT.

Bloomberg has treated the largest metropolis in the city like his personal play-pen, his cronyism is legendary and his one “signature” accomplishment was causing two decades worth of damage to the NYC public school system. Besides being really, really rich what qualification does he have to run? He only won his third term because the Dems were too busy in Jersey.
