Debbie Wasserman-Schultz: NY-9 is “a very difficult district for Democrats”
Democratic party leaders insisted the loss wasn’t a harbinger of things to come. “It’s a very difficult district for Democrats,” said Democratic National Committee chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, noting its Democratic margins there tend to be the second lowest of all the districts in New York City.
House Speaker John Boehner (R., Ohio), dismissed that idea.
“This is a very seriously Democrat district,” Mr. Boehner said. “This is not a district that Republicans have any right to believe we could win.”

“…supposed to be”? Now you’re getting into the whole nature-versus-nurture question. I don’t think it matters why someone is a gay Mexican Reconquista. I support his choice to be whatever gets him a mention in abnormal psychology textbooks.

the whole country will be difficult for Dems in 2012.

if NY 9 is any indication, then yes, you are correct sir!

In the same way that Ronald Wilson Reagan defined conservatism, and made clear its home was the Republican Party; Barack Hussein Obama is defining liberalism, and making clear its home is the Democrat Party.
The biggest impact of the Reagan Revolution was in the south – where millions of generational Democrats finally figured out they were in the wrong party.
Now, thanks to Obama, Jews are the new southerners.

At least columnists on HuffPo are spinning it’s just “anti-incumbency” and it will hit Republicans, too. If I were a Dem I’d want DWS fired for not being able to come up with that.
Marcus on September 14, 2011 at 6:35 AM
Note to Wasserman-Schultz: Replace your washing machine—it’s stuck on the spin-cycle.
Seriously, I hope little debbie and the Democrats remain in this “denial” mode for another 14 months. I’m almost surprised that she didn’t inject a little class warfare or racism into the conversation. The roadmap for a conservative sweep across this nation is “leg-tingling” to say the least, but we must not become complacent—use this victory as a motivational tool, not a reason to relax or take any electoral race for granted.

Debbie Wasserman-Schultz a gift to Republicans. Please do not replace this woman the talking head of the Democrat Party. She is a walking talking disaster, whose spin is obvious and obscene.

isn’t every election like that Debster?
ted c on September 14, 2011 at 6:48 AM
What’s good here is that DWS has been denied a reliable pro-abortion vote that she really needed.
awwwz.

Strange fat Jewish girl: “Yeah…but it’s been very difficult.” (Or something.)
Boehner: “Bwaaaaaahahahahahahaha!”
Jaibones on September 14, 2011 at 7:08 AM
Where’d ernesto go?
Also, how is a district Obama won by +11 THE LAST TIME THERE WAS AN ELECTION a ‘difficult’ district?
If that’s the metric, this Administration is SCREWED come November ’12.
Washington Nearsider on September 14, 2011 at 7:11 AM
I’d like to see a map of every district that he won by a margin of <11 points. Take 3/4 of those and turn them red and see the electoral outcome. It'd be a hosing.

I’m very proud of my fellow New Yorkers today!
If ONLY we can just boot that Schumer one day….

I posted this over at Ace, but it works here too:
They keep telling us Obama’s going to end up in the history books. They just didn’t point out that it would be for the most meteoric collapse in US political history.
Washington Nearsider on September 14, 2011 at 7:34 AM
The world would be better off if the Mexicans in 1836 had killed off her whole bloodline.
ernesto on June 25, 2010 at 11:25 PM
Wow. Just. Wow.
Ernie, you always seemed a bit much of a pr!ck, but that’s over the top.
BTW-the brown man is no better than any other color.
And Mexicans are Mexicans bcs a bunch of white Europeans came over & had some babies with some brown people.
Did you even know that brown people & white people are actually related genetically to each other?! Shockah!
Did you even know that brown people OPPRESSED each OTHER?!
Even BEFORE the white man came to N & S America?!
Oh noes!
I recall there were quite a fence sitters and Tories around 1776.
But that $hit got ironed out in the end.

it’ll be doubly historic since only our side will bear witness to it. The DWS gang will evade, spin, deny and demagogue right up until the time they’re thrown upon the dustbin of history.

Oh, no, no, no, not at all. Wasserman-Schultz is proving herself to be very useful to true change in November 2012.
Lourdes on September 14, 2011 at 8:07 AM
@Caper: you’re right, that DOES appear to be what Wasserman-Scbultz is saying.
Lourdes on September 14, 2011 at 8:10 AM
It’s better to be quiet and be thought a fool than to be Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and remove all doubt.

Is this dingbat saying the Orthodox Jews have few national implications as in they don’t really matter? After the way Oboobi has been treating Israel and after the Greenberg group have been astroturfing Israeli leftists protests, ya’ll just keep thinking that and watch as more Jews that really care about Israel bail out on the donks.
AH_C on September 14, 2011 at 8:13 AM
Didn’t the dems tell us that EVERY off-year and special election won by the left during the Bush Administration had national ramifications?
Just checking.
Washington Nearsider on September 14, 2011 at 8:17 AM
This is true, though it pains me to say it. She is the perfect face of the ‘progressive’ left wing.
