Study: Drinkers are twice as likely to lose their inhibitions in unfamiliar bar
Professor Mike Fillmore, an expert on the effects of alcohol on inhibitions from the University Of Kentucky who was not involved in the study, told LiveScience.com that the research clearly shows that ‘tolerance isn’t portable’.
He added: ‘Just because you can function well while drinking in known situations doesn’t mean you take that anywhere.
‘It’s not a personal attribute.’

Gee, so your saying that people lose their inhibitions on purpose when they drink? Imagine that. They figured that out in some tests where they had people drink, “alcoholic beverages” and alcoholic beverages, and reviewed the outcome. Imagine that people who thought they were drinking alcoholic beverages thought they were drunk more than half the time, even when they were not drinking alcoholic beverages. They acted the part, because the drinking was not so much required, but part of the props so they felt less guilty for what they wanted and intended to do.

It’s when you wake up to an ugly woman you met at the bar, and you are so anxious to get out without waking her that you’ll chew off your own arm like a coyote trying to get out of a trap.

It can be dangerous, too. For example: Scotch bars are filled with serial kilters.

I do my drinking at home. Then, when I lose my inhibitions I know I’ll be putting it where I won’t get a disease, divorce or dismemberment.
