Robbery-thwarting chihuahua hailed as hero, makes national TV appearance
Paco, the barking Chihuahua that foiled a robbery at his owner’s Altadena smoke shop this month, is described by friends and neighbors as a peaceful animal who usually is very docile.
A video of the robbery and Paco’s angry response has become an Internet sensation and the dog appeared Monday on “Good Morning America.” …
“I was shocked. Normally, he’s usually really laid-back. He just sits back and takes it easy,” Cecil Griffin, a neighbor, told the show.

I hope his owner gave him a Porterhouse for a reward.

Nothing is more pathetic than fads in pets. For a while, chihuahuas were the latest craze. Now, shelters are filled with them as their owners dump them. They are perfect for apts and as evidenced by this story loyal and brave. So, if you don’t have a lot of space, get your self an attack chihuahua at a shelter.

How bad are these two going to be pounded in prison when the other inmates learn they were thwarted by a chihuahua?

Never underestimate Chihuahuas. When I fell last summer and had to call for the ambulance she barked fiercely at the EMS guys. She wouldn’t let the guys upstairs to retrieve my wallet or keys or glasses. And these were big strong guys.

Way to go, Paco! I have two of these and I promise you that they are just as fearsome as a Rottweiler. You wouldn’t want to get bit by one of them, that’s for sure. They are fiercely loyal dogs and in addition to being so protective, they are incredibly loving. I never thought I’d have small dogs — heck, I never thought I’d have dogs, period (I’m a cat person) — but my two little attack puppies have sold me on Chis forever.
