Andrew Sullivan to Chris Matthews: Yes, Palin can win
SULLIVAN: …not because of her apparent virtues, not because of Obama’s weakness, but because of unforeseen events. I do think that if for example we have a collapse in the markets because of a debt ceiling crisis, if we have a second recession…
MATTHEWS: You’re talking Armageddon.
SULLIVAN: If we have another terrorist attack…
BORGER: Sorry.
SULLIVAN: No, I’m just saying we shouldn’t rule out things.

unseen on May 29, 2011 at 4:51 PM
yeah I think she can win:
unseen on May 29, 2011 at 4:54 PM
OK, inny, let’s see.
In 2004 I donated 2,300 DOLLARS (the legal limit) to reelect Bush.
In 2008 I wasn’t going to donate anything to McCain until he chose Sarah Palin as VP. Then I donated 500 DOLLARS to McCain/Palin. I would have donated more if McCain had become more conservative, but he didn’t.
BTW: Inny, I have the canceled checks to prove it.
NickDeringer on May 29, 2011 at 4:55 PM
Can’t speak for anyone else, but that’s why you will never see me cite a poll in defense of my vote for Sarah Palin.
gryphon202 on May 29, 2011 at 4:56 PM
The Palins at the Rolling Thunder Rally.
mizflame98 on May 29, 2011 at 4:57 PM
Ooooops. I hit a nerve. If you continue with the name calling I will ignore all your comments.
Your turn…
NickDeringer on May 29, 2011 at 4:57 PM
Bravo. Sounds like you did the right thing. If Palin doesn’t run, Probably won’t throw a dime at anyone else, but I’ll sure get out there and vote. Especially in the primaries. Made up your mind who you’re going to support going forward, yet?
gryphon202 on May 29, 2011 at 4:59 PM
What’s your point….
idesign on May 29, 2011 at 5:02 PM
good it will save me the wasted time of responding to your lamas* posts. polls=voting in your little slice of reality….ROFLMAO.
unseen on May 29, 2011 at 5:05 PM
This is exactly what I was afraid of. People who are so into the Palin Personality Cult that they will sit home and pout if she isn’t the candidate.
America will not survive 8 years of Barack Obama.

NickDeringer on May 29, 2011 at 4:55 PM
I been donating to Repubs a long time how far you want me to go back.
djohn669 on May 29, 2011 at 5:05 PM
My point is this…
NickDeringer on May 29, 2011 at 5:07 PM
Sorry to hear that. I don’t donate to the GOP anymore. I donate directly to conservative candidates. I donated to Rubio, Wilson, Miller and a few others.
Are you planning to donate in 2012?
NickDeringer on May 29, 2011 at 5:09 PM
My point still holds…
idesign on May 29, 2011 at 5:12 PM
max if Sarah gets it, but I do donate to local repubs, just not my district since its corrine browns no use gerrymand, she wins regardless.
djohn669 on May 29, 2011 at 5:12 PM
Straw man, much? I never said that. If she chooses not to run, or washes out, I know who my next-favorite candidates are. She’s my #1, and I will do everything I can to encourage her to run, and help her succeed if she does. That doesn’t mean I’m a one-trick pony by any stretch.
gryphon202 on May 29, 2011 at 5:15 PM
I like shades on Piper (slide 50). She’s a neat kid.
BuckeyeSam on May 29, 2011 at 5:16 PM
What I said, and what I meant, was that I will probably not DONATE to any other candidates, but that I would go out and vote for them. Clear as mud, Champ? Palinites aren’t the only individuals here with prejudice, apparently.
gryphon202 on May 29, 2011 at 5:21 PM
America would survive…it would take a lot more than The One to destroy this great nation…but we’d certainly be much better off with him out.
And yes…many ‘nistas will pout and whine if she doesn’t get the nomination. And if she doesn’t win, they’ll blame anyone and everyone except for Palin or their own lousy attitudes. This doesn’t apply to all Palinistas of course, but you know who you are.
It’s fun to watch the ‘nistas get all giddy tho about pictures of their leader and family ridin’ motorcycles, and falling over themselves to get the best pics.
JetBoy on May 29, 2011 at 5:29 PM
Liberals don’t have opinions. They marching talking points and marching orders. Their de facto opinion is Republican = evil racist who wants to kill puppies, kittens and old people. Anything other than that is not an opinion but a talking point received earlier in the day.
angryed on May 29, 2011 at 5:33 PM
The fix ix on.
The Dems want Palin to get the nom more than anything because everyone that lives in reality knows Obama would stomp Palin. When talking heads start saying Palin can win, that’s exactly what they are working on.
Hilarious to see the Palin zombies just fall right in line for it. But, they are so easy anyway.
Moesart on May 29, 2011 at 5:37 PM
Moron says what?
idesign on May 29, 2011 at 5:39 PM
Some of us are pretty damn sick of voting for an ersatz conservative and getting another statist who will just move us toward socialism a little more slowly than the leftists in the Democratic Party. Maybe if the GOP wants us to come out for them, they should consider nominating somebody who intends to actually roll back spending and regulation this time around instead of just keeping the seat in the Oval Office warm for four years.
Aitch748 on May 29, 2011 at 5:41 PM
What’s hilarious is your crude attempt at manipulation.
Aitch748 on May 29, 2011 at 5:49 PM
Okay…is anyone going to even acknowledge that I said I’m probably not going to donate money to another candidate besides Palin? Can I get some sort of acknowledgement from an ABP that I said nothing at any time about staying home and not voting?
gryphon202 on May 29, 2011 at 5:57 PM
And, that is the typical response of the Palin fan.
Palin isn’t going to run anyway. Not this time. She is just yanking your chain. Now, send her some more money.
It’s a shame really because we get to miss out on laughing at her hysterical fans when she gets stomped.
Who am I kidding? We laugh at you anyway.
Moesart on May 29, 2011 at 5:58 PM
Moesart on May 29, 2011 at 5:58 PM
and we laugh at you what your point
djohn669 on May 29, 2011 at 6:00 PM
Palin will be in the national conversation for the rest of our lifetimes, either as President, or as the “Conservative Lioness” who will continue to Tweet and blog all things right while driving statists and leftists insane.
I would rather it be because of the former, but know that at day’s end it is the IDEAS that matter, and not so much the person.
itzWicks on May 29, 2011 at 6:02 PM
We do indeed…

What’s an ABP?
Bee on May 29, 2011 at 6:07 PM
Ridiculous.
MikeknaJ on May 29, 2011 at 6:08 PM
Anybody
But
Palin
Kafir on May 29, 2011 at 6:33 PM
Jeebus! Trying to get a retraction from the ABP crowd is like Emailing Chris Wallace! X-(
gryphon202 on May 29, 2011 at 6:38 PM
Ahhhh…I see. Should have known that. Thanks, Kafir!
