Herman Cain: Trump is a bully who was unsuitable for the presidency
“That is very good,” Cain said this afternoon of Trump’s exit from the political stage. “…I’m very proud that I have never held public office because most of the people in Washington, D.C., they have held public office.”…
“I was never threatened or concerned about Donald Trump in the first place, to be perfectly honest, because bullying, being a bully is not a leadership strategy, not if you want to lead the United States of America,” Cain told a group of Iowa reporters this afternoon. “And so I was not surprised he is not running.”

Get back to me when he can explain foreign policy issues…ie Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Libya, N.Korea….etc.
Tell me about the foreign dignitaries he has met. I would imagine that Cain has had dealings with other foreign countries, when are we going to hear about that?

That’s what they said about Sarah a couple years ago. Yet I thought that out of the 4 of them (Obama, Biden, McCain and Palin) she was the one I’d prefer as President even back then.
She would have done a much better job than Obama and so would Cain.
They have wisdom, maturity, common sense and intelligence. And they see American’s role in the world the same way I do.
I’d sleep safely at night knowing either one was president.
I had further comments about this here:

The vital words here are “a couple years ago”. Cain does not have that kind of time.
As I have said before, Palin and Cain and all the other nominees, have the same amt of information to make a reasonable decision in regards to policy.
What is Cain going to do if he should have to debate Obama on foreign policy? I think your knee-jerk reaction would be to say “he’d wipe the floor with him”, but I don’t think so.
With what Cain has be showing in regards to his foreign policy, I think it would be Obama that would be doing the “floor wiping”

Is Herman Cain stupid?
steebo77 on May 17, 2011 at 3:25 AM
Herman doesn’t need to have a foreign policy because he will assemble a panel of experts to tell him what his foreign policy should look like. How dare you question his panel of experts!

Trump had at one point 26% in the polls, shouldn’t Cain be trying to get those voters for himself instead of attacking the candidate they liked?
Makes no sense to me.

I know what he said was harmless, but at the same time, why say anything? NO reason to specifically comment on a guy who’s now out of the race. Maybe I’m just nitpicking, but just keep your mouth shut and stop risking alienating voters about worthless people/situations.

I admit that I know nothing about Cain, but I tend to agree with his assessment of Trump. If SP decides she’s not running (when she says so, not the stratospheric egos on this blog) then I will educate myself about Cain. Until then, I see no need. For now, I know who I believe in.

Herman Cain seems at best to me to be running for VP. And with no “political paper trail”, that’s even a stretch. Has he walked back his “I wouldn’t appoint a Muslim to my cabinet” talk yet? There’s one religion he might get away with such religious bigotry: Satanism.

What’s the difference between those “religions”?

Well I know this puts me in the minority, but I like that Cain speaks his mind. Like Palin, I might disagree with him but at least I know where he stands. Most politicians do the campaign two step and speak volumes without saying anything. I still prefer West to Cain, but among the candidates that have announced (and Cain’s announcement isn’t in doubt, it’s just not official yet) he’s the only one I’m interested in voting for.

I think it more shows why Cain never won an election , why not try to get Trumps support when he’s already out?
the_nile on May 17, 2011 at 8:08 AM
Sigh.
Maybe experience running for political office is important, at least so you will have learned to think before speaking.

Cain has specifically said he would have Muslims in his administration but he would not have them in his CABINET. Personally I think that’s a good idea and I think he sends a clear message where he stands on the Islamic wars going on right now that Muslims have started with us.

Obama said just months before the last election he would pull out of afgan at a specific date. He didn’t do that once he was in office and knew all the details of that war.
Cain was asked a debate a year and a half before the next election specifically what he would do. He gave the guidelines for how he would make the decision once he was in office and knew all the details of the war.
Sarah Palin said the same exact thing. Otherwise, show me where Palin has said she would definitely stay in Afgan or where she said she would send in more troops or where she said she would immediately pullout or where she said she would pull out by such and such a date?
Cain did not say “I don’t know.”
He clearly and maturely and intelligently described how he doesn’t know everything he needs to know to make a specific detailed plan to each war we are dealing with.
Palin hasn’t either. But they both have general guidelines I agree with. And they both have a vision for America on the world stage that I agree with. And they both are capable and I would sleep well knowing either one of them was in the Oval Office.
And if you are all honest, you know deep down inside you would have confidence with both of them being president and making the right decisions.

So hitting Obama was bulling? If one is not willing to hit Obama, one will be like McCain and lose. So much promise. Not anymore. Not willing to hit Obama and gives a song and dance on foreign policy.

Cain is 100% correct onTrump, except I would add that Trump is a narcissist. Cain’s statement makes me like him even more.
