Wisconsin GOP senator surrounded by mob: I think I would have been okay
“I really think if I had had to, I could have walked through the crowd and it would have been okay,” he told the Cap Times. “They’re loud, they’ll give you the finger, and they yell at you, but I really think deep down inside they’re just mostly college kids having fun, just like they’re having fun sleeping with their girfriends on air mattresses. That’s the guts of that crowd.”

Two dogs will do things that one dog won’t do.
That mob was fired up, had chanted themselves into insensibility, and could have turned on anyone in a blink — the Republican, a cameraman, the guy with the microphone, a fellow protester.
To say that no one member was going to be violent doesn’t address the issue, when they’d clearly become a mob.
