Chris Matthews losing battle against obsession
In today’s clip, Matthews wonders why “know-nothings” Bachmann and Palin are so celebrated by Republicans. His guests attempt to soothe Matthews with the fact that, in their opinion, neither are serious candidates for President, and that by comparison, Bachmann and Palin make people like Mitt Romney and Tim Pawlenty look so much better. However, Matthews more accurately comes to his own conclusion, which also gives us a peek into the rationale behind his obsession with the dynamic duo: “I’m afraid [Palin and Bachmann] make [people like Romney and Pawlenty] look boring.”
Therefore, I offer up this column as a pseudo-intervention of sorts in an effort to merely draw attention to the fact that Matthews’ obsession does indeed exist, yet in my opinion, it’s not a problem that needs to be fixed. You see just like Palin and Bachmann are more exciting than most Republican candidates, Matthews, with his absurdly over-the-top rants and breathless verbal assaults, is in fact the most exciting liberal commentator who consistently attempts to trash them.

You just know that the day she announces, Chrissy will be all up in her grill just like everyone else. He’s a whore.

Because they irritate jackasses like you, Chris.

Another possible variant if we’re brainstorming for fun here: Matthews is worried that Palin can make Obama look boring.

As re-iterated last week with Olbermann’s firing, his ratings are the worst for MSNBC, period. Michelle Bachmann went on with him on election night and humiliated him in front of his friends with the “thrill” sign and asking him if he was “tingling”. To which he angrily said to a smirking Keith Olbermann “I NEVER said ‘tingle’!!!”
I’d miss him if he was gone. He’s now if full-form hate mode and the object of his hate are 2 attractive mothers.

Does anyone think Matthews is developing a “Whiskey Vein Nose”?
Ever seen people who are hard drinkers,, and it shows in their nose?

Obama mispronounced “Corps” and says we have 57 states (among other gaffs that make it evident he is suffering from Alzheimers)….so where is your outrage Chrissy? He is actually the president and should be held to a higher standard that those who are not.

It’s sad. Matthews has completely lost control of his faculties. He’s so heavily invested in Obama that he cannot even parry objective questions to his guests. He asks them questions–then answers it himself. It’s almost as if he asks the question or makes a statement already knowing the answer, waits for the guests’ obligatory agreement, and then jumps in and exposes the guests’ bias and intellectual dishonesty by answering the questions himself. Weird.

Matthews should be crucified for that know-nothings crack.

He’s clearly been very shaken, intimidated, and possibly unable to “perform” since Palin and Bachman have come on the national scene.

I think he is sexually attracted to both of them. And because of that he thinks they are too pretty and sexy to be taken seriously as politicians.
I think a lot of middle aged men feel this way, though none will admit it. They wish their wives looked as good and were as smart as Palin and Bachman. They hate that both are conservative and that all the liberal women they know are ugly.

Chris Matthews? Never heard of him. Is he important to the American dialogue?

Why do Liberal men hate women?
ctmom on January 28, 2011 at 9:50 AM
Chris Matthews has a long history of bullying women. I clearly remember being outraged during the ’04 campaign when he brutalized Michelle Malkin over the Swift-Boat issue after asking her on the show to discuss her new book at the time, In Defense of Internment.
He’s pure scum.

I swear….if Matthews got the chance to interview Obutthead, he’d spend 99% of the time , humping O’s leg. Now THAT is obsession. LOL
capejasmine on January 28, 2011 at 10:21 AM
I know some liberal women who hate women too. One kept hammering on Hillary and Palin during the campaign calling them “power hungry” and unqualified etc. I asked her why it’s always the women, why not attack McCain, Huckabee, Edwards etc? Never really got an answer.
forest on January 28, 2011 at 10:22 AM
For the same reasons they seem to embrace Islam. They want a legitimate excuse to take their rage, and anger out on women. The koran says it’s ok.
