Alan Grayson: I lost because we weren’t liberal enough
Maybe he’d be interested in a commentary gig on cable?
“As I understand it, we’re not even supposed to be talking to people about that until the job is over, which is January 2nd,” Grayson answered, like a man who has been considering the possibility. “I think that’s how the rules are written… They’ve already told us that there will be votes in December.”
Or maybe, like another notorious politician who served only two years in office, Grayson can star in his own reality show?
“Sure,” he agreed. “Alan Grayson’s Florida!”

Blowback

“Notorius”?
ChrisB on November 18, 2010 at 12:14 PM
Don’t let the door hit you on your way out.
By the way, don’t forget that you have to vacate your office the first week of December so they can turn it around for the person who will occupy it next.
Again, don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

The sad thing is this clown likely gets $100k a year for life with health insurance for his two years of being the biggest joke in Washington.
WoosterOh on November 18, 2010 at 12:16 PM
Be interesting if anyone knows what his pension is.
WoosterOh on November 18, 2010 at 12:17 PM
Tonight – Alan scares the hell out of kids at Disney World. Plus, Alan bowls a 24 and blames Bush!
fiatboomer on November 18, 2010 at 12:17 PM
Ed Schultz should already be having night terrors about Grayson’s impending availability.
jon1979 on November 18, 2010 at 12:17 PM
I should add, we need to start now to prevent him from trying to coattail his way back into the seat.
WoosterOh on November 18, 2010 at 12:19 PM
Then I recommend you guys go balls to the wall ultra, uber left next time.

He told Fox News in a caustic interview that it was inevitable that he would lose because it was a conservative district. That there was nothing he could do.
If that’s the case, why buy any ads, why do any campaigning?
itsnotaboutme on November 18, 2010 at 12:21 PM
Orlando area voters need to explain themselves. Why were we exposed to this POS in the first place?
BuckeyeSam on November 18, 2010 at 12:22 PM
Nah, Shultzie’s safe. He’s a Leftist who’s compliant to his corporate masters. The rebellious Leftist (KO) is the one who may be on the way out.
itsnotaboutme on November 18, 2010 at 12:23 PM
Sarah living rent-free!
She was a governor for those 2 years… also a mayor and was a VP nominee… slightly more experienced than a 1-term Congressman.
mankai on November 18, 2010 at 12:24 PM
But Rachel Maddow guaranteed he would win… I you trying to tell us he didn’t?
mankai on November 18, 2010 at 12:25 PM
I blame Four Loko.
Yeah, the GOP won because they promised to be more liberal than the Fascist-Democrats.

I him say this – his eyes were spinning counter clockwise BTW

It would be fun to see him standing on the shore with an alligator latched on to his leg.
scrubjay on November 18, 2010 at 12:29 PM
Rangle is about to get a slap on the wrist and a harsh look from some GOP congressmen. These people suck.
VegasRick on November 18, 2010 at 12:29 PM
Keep thinking that libs.
WisCon on November 18, 2010 at 12:31 PM
Schultzy said that he was going to be having Grayson on “lots” going forward and that we “haven’t heard the last of Alan Grayson”.
strictnein on November 18, 2010 at 12:31 PM
Grayson won by surfing the Obama wave to beat a weak Republican incumbant who barely survived his own primary.
dczombie on November 18, 2010 at 12:31 PM
Are you kidding? That’s more experience than the president has also. And I hope the dems continue to go further left. That will make the next election as soul satisfying as November 2nd, 2010.
thekingtut on November 18, 2010 at 12:32 PM
No. You lost because you’re a hateful, hate-filled douche-bag.
catmman on November 18, 2010 at 12:38 PM
He is not eligible for any pension as far as I can tell. One has to be in their system for 5 years and amounts are calculated on the highest three years of pay and years of service. Congress is under the standard Federal Employee Retirement System. It is not a special one for them (since 1987).
BierManVA on November 18, 2010 at 12:39 PM
“I wasn’t liberal enough, so the voters went way to the right.”
Got it. Thanks.
selias on November 18, 2010 at 12:39 PM
It’s public record, a member of congress must serve at least 5 years to receive any pension at all.
bernzright777 on November 18, 2010 at 12:44 PM
Why is this a$$hat still being listened to? Move on, Folks. It’s just the messy clean up from a inevitable train wreck. Nothing to see here.
Claypigeon on November 18, 2010 at 12:46 PM
Please, Please keep telling yourself that.

Alan, quite honestly, you would have lost to my pet rock.
John the Libertarian on November 18, 2010 at 1:17 PM
Please dear God let these delusional morons move as far left as possible. All of them.
You know, in all seriousness, you can’t make this crap up. These people, all of them, have turned DC into a full length comedy. Too bad they are screwing us so bad we can’t just sit back and enjoy.
gary4205 on November 18, 2010 at 1:29 PM
Dude, you’re right. You need to go like Fidel Castro left. Drive through your district and tell your voters if they don’t vote for you, you’ll throw them into a prison; or have them shot. That’s sure to garner support. Castro has been in power for what, decades doing that. Go for it, Grayson. Announce it first on MSNBC, so the rest of the country can envy Florida their Representative for Life.
