Good news: Geraldo now keeping an open mind about 9/11 truth
Still, at the end of his serious-yet-brief treatment of questions surrounding the collapse of World Trade Center 7 (WTC 7, pictured), Rivera admitted that the activists had made him “much more open minded” about questions surrounding 9/11.
And all it took was the proper message.
That message, which was playing in 30-second bytes on screens all around New York City, does not focus on conspiracy theories. It does not feature hip-hop beats in the background or winded, red-faced protesters dressed in black shouting at reporters. It doesn’t even mention President George W. Bush, former Vice President Dick Cheney or the systemic failures in America’s air defenses.

My personal opinion is that Geraldos talents are wasted at Fox. He should be at ABC.

So who is Geraldo the equivalent of in the “real news” world?

If Geraldo has some proof to support his theory that goes beyond conjecture, then he can present it. However, the facts I have are that 19 Arab Muslims boarded 4 planes, hijacked them, crashed them into 3 buildings, and the fourth was downed by a group of courageous Americans who kicked the sh!t out of those guys who died as failed terrorists with a ham sandwich stuck in their yap.
truth.

Just think what our nation could have accomplished over the last ten years had the 9/11 nutjobs and leftist anti-war protesters had gathered behind the effort to win the GWoT.

And if your ‘mind’ can’t wrap itself around the fact Arab Muslims perpetrated the 9/11 attacks, then you are an effing POS of the First Order.
catmman on November 15, 2010 at 10:32 AM
And only they were hit by fully loaded commercial airplanes.
This will never go away, conspiracies never do, because most on based on voodoo and “I have a feeling”.
Surprise, 1,300 out of work “engineers” have signed onto it, but none will debate it.
Besides, unless there is ominous music in the background, it can’t be real…

Not to mention the towers had different truss and skeletal designs, compared to other well known buildings that had had fires throughout history. The “tube in a tube” design of the towers was part of their own demise.
blatantblue on November 15, 2010 at 10:37 AM
Why in the world would they demolish WTC 7 on purpose? I think all these truthers need their heads examined.
changer1701 on November 15, 2010 at 10:37 AM
Really? Are people still believing this?
Geraldo, if you believe your government killed 3,000 citizens – it makes sense to give that government as little power over your life, as possible. Yes?
lorien1973 on November 15, 2010 at 10:37 AM
Ah…so let’s make sure the conspiracy finds its true roots. Bill Clinton refused to give the order to have Bin Laden assassinated the night our covert ops had him in their crosshairs. Thus, Billy boy must have been in on this conspiracy.
jediwebdude on November 15, 2010 at 10:38 AM
They believe all the incriminating evidence surrounding the whole “inside job” nonsense was stored in WTC 7. It was “destroyed” to get rid of the evidence.
JetBoy on November 15, 2010 at 10:40 AM
Moreover, the temperatures of the flames easily reached the point where steel loses a good portion of its structural integrity. This whole notion that fire can’t melt steel is a misnomer. That isn’t necessary. A loss in structural integrity is enough. Combined with the impact, and the stresses of the actual design, weight of the upper floors, etc, many things came together to bring them down
blatantblue on November 15, 2010 at 10:41 AM
Look. Cheney already had to run up towers 1 and 2 planting thermite. Do you really think his ticker could have held up for a run up a 3rd building?
lorien1973 on November 15, 2010 at 10:43 AM
Does he have an open mind about Holocaust denial, too?

So,are Spitter’s ratings down,or isn’t Bill O’Reilly giving him as much face time?Time to create controversy and try to become relevent again.
DDT on November 15, 2010 at 10:47 AM
Truthers piss me off to no end. They say that the Bush administration had no problem causing 9/11, having NO ONE involved to snitch, yet that same eeeeeevvil regime didn’t bother planting WMDs in Iraq, which would have been easy in comparison.
According to truthers, the “hijackers” are still alive as well. So the government was wiling to kill 3,000+ of their own people didn’t couldn’t bare to kill 13 people that, woudl they been seen alive, would have blown the whole “it was muslims” deal.
Truthers say that the government caused 9/11 in order to get us to go to war with Afganistan and Iraq and yet the goverment says that the terrorist were mainly from Saudi Arabia. Mmmmm…you would think if it was a goverment conspiracy that they would say that hijackers were all from Iraq and/or Afganistan.
Basically, you can debunk all the stupid conspiracy theories with simple common sense.
DethMetalCookieMonst on November 15, 2010 at 10:47 AM
This whole fact never seems to penetrate a troofer’s thick skull. As the Popular Mechanics debunk showed, the steel in the twin towers lost a majority of it’s structural integrity simply from the heat.
JetBoy on November 15, 2010 at 10:48 AM
Why do you think liberals are the primary believers in 911 truth? They lack common sense.
lorien1973 on November 15, 2010 at 10:49 AM
Let’s not forget truthere saying “look at the pancaking of towers 1 and 2″. Yet they completely ignore the fact that the pancaking starts from the point of impact where the planes hit.
DethMetalCookieMonst on November 15, 2010 at 10:51 AM
What evidence? A memo that says “hey let’s blow up the World Trade Center and blame it on terrorists, then we can destroy this building to get rid of this memo”? Your mind has to be in a permanent cartoon to believe this crap.

Same here. I will watch Olbermann before I watch Geraldo, but usually seeing Geraldo just makes me turn the TV off completely.
greggriffith on November 15, 2010 at 10:56 AM
Oh, well that makes sense then. /s
Personally, I don’t believe gov’t officials are bright enough to pull off such a wide-ranging conspiracy, and even if they were someone would’ve leaked it by now. Not to mention, of course, all the evidence pointing to what actually happened. It’s pathetic, their unwillingness to see the evil perpetrated by Islamic radicals, as if they wouldn’t so duch a thing.
changer1701 on November 15, 2010 at 10:58 AM
We’re with you, Sue. He gets nothing from me.

I would like to know from the “Truthers” how come nobody has come out and claimed that they were approached by the US government to take part in this mass murder of 3000 Americans. Seems like their wild conspiracy theories would have taken a lot of people to execute, all of whom would have had to have had the idea sold to them first. Doubtless there would have been those who said “hell no, I’m not doimng that.” Where are these people? How come the Truthers haven’t claimed these people exist but have been assassinated by Cheney or something? And when are they going to revive the X-Files and take these nerd’s minds off the WTC already?
Sharke on November 15, 2010 at 11:03 AM
I swear, I still find troofers as some of the most dense individuals out there. They beat out the most far-Left liberals even. And troofers come in two major camps…the MIHOP (Made It Happen On Purpose)crew, and the LIHOP (Let It Happen On Purpose)crew. And the best are the “no planers” who believe it was missiles that hit the towers and the Pentagon. What about all that video, network and individuals with cameras, who caught planes in NYC? All CGI’d in. I mean, come on.
Then there’s the whole FEMA camp thing. Which is the cherry on the sundae for troofers. They ain’t operating with a full deck.
JetBoy on November 15, 2010 at 11:11 AM
Well, the government can’t fool me…with all the experimentation, and mutant research, it is apparent what they are trying to hide…termites that have mutated to eat steel.
Yes, they were negligent in having termite inspections, and annual spraying…the termites ate into the steel and weakened it.
They knew it was going to come down, at any moment, or any day…so to CYA, the concocted the “terrorists” story, flew some planes into the towers to cover their inept ability at controlling steel termites. A covert scientific study by the Pentagon, that went astray. They had to destroy the specific files at the Pentagon, which is why the plane hit that exact spot, the exact location where they housed those files in the Pentagon, destroying all evidence of the steel termites.
Okay, so I was writing this as a ridiculous story to show how foolish the trooothers are…and look what I came across.
I can’t believe it…
I pick the most outlandish subject, the most stupid thing I could think of…and lo and behold, it’s right up the trooothers alley.
right2bright on November 15, 2010 at 11:33 AM
Of course troooothers would say satire has a string of truth running through it…
right2bright on November 15, 2010 at 11:36 AM
I still have yet to hear a TROOOFFFER explain to me how our Government could’ve orcestrated 9/11 to provide the excuse to invade Iraq, and yet couldn’t plant a single WMD to justify the war.

Come on. Everyone knows those towers were burned down by chemtrails.
Kenosha Kid on November 15, 2010 at 12:25 PM
I have no problem believing that engineers haven’t quite figured out all the hows, whys and wherefores concerning WTC-7. Nothing like 9/11 had ever occurred before so there is no historic data for comparison.
However, it’s a GIANT leap from “not sure” to “it was done with explosives on purpose.”
THAT leap can only be done out of malevolent and purposeful ignorance.
Religious_Zealot on November 15, 2010 at 1:29 PM
I’ve always found it difficult to believe that a “seasoned journalist” like Geraldo would “accidentally” give away details of a U.S. combat operation on live T.V.
I mean, I’m not saying that he wanted to see those U.S. troops dead or captured. But I’m willing to keep an open mind about it.
