White House taking credit for wind farms created under Bush
Out of 70 major wind farms that received the $4.4 billion in federal energy grants through the stimulus program, public records show that 11, which received a total of $600 million, erected their wind towers during the Bush administration. And a total of 19 wind farms, which received $1.3 billion, were built before any of the stimulus money was distributed.
Yet all the jobs at these wind farms are counted in the administration’s figures for jobs created by the stimulus.

Yes these were built under Bush but it was the winds of change which swept Barack Obama into office which got them moving.Thank you Mr president.

I blame Bush on this one….oh wait! he actually did this.

No problem, PBHO takes credit for the “good” stuff and blames others for the “bad” stuff; it’s his m.o.
By 2012 he will be claiming he freed the slaves, initiated the Renaissance, and painted the Sistine Chapel.

70 major wind farms. That’s hundreds of thousands of birds and bats killed every year. Probably millions. Wind power is having a devasting effect on birds and bats. Soon they will be destroying entire species.
Where is PETA? Where are all the animal activists?

Shovel-ready projects…created by Bush.

The fact that “wind farms” were started by “compassionate conservative”/moderate President Bush is a perfect example of what went wrong with the Republican Party under his leadership.
Miss Bush yet? No. Still waiting for a real conservative to lead the country.

The only credit Mr. O’dumbo will receive is the letter *F*.
A utter failure of all accounts.

Troy? Isn’t that story from a year ago? Not that the Democrats won’t be cheating this year…

Actually, the wind farms are a scam. If he wants to take credit for a boondoggle that does nothing to reduce carbon emissions and does more damage to the environment, who am I to argue with him?
mizflame98 on October 21, 2010 at 10:41 AM
So Obama even lies about his erections.
fourdeucer on October 21, 2010 at 10:47 AM
Yah, that’s why I added the quotation marks. PBHO thinks he is doing himself a favor here, but as you said the benefits of these wind farms are negligible.

Don’t these a$$holes know that it may be okay to emphasize the positive on a resume, it’s wrong to flat out lie on one?

Our local Bush-hating lefty posted a glowing blog on the “success” of the TARP program earlier this year… broke his heart to discover that his new hero is apparently George W. Bush.

Crooked to the core. And Axlerod needs to be put under oath and asked about his statement that “Dems should stay up all night on election night…”
Oct 31 may be Halloween but Soros, the Secretary of States project, and the Dems are planning to be up to no good on election night.

The worst thing about wind farms is that the taxpayer continues to be billed for 25% of their production costs (see “PTC”)!!!
On a stand-alone basis, wind power is guaranteed to lose a MINIMUM of 35% of an investment of any size in this silly, outdated, “technology.” Wind farms only exist because of massive subsidies.
These subsidies are pure waste. Proponents of “wind power” want you to ignore the cost of these subsidies and the true capital cost of building the wind farms and their transmission infrastructure and falsely present the projects as “free energy.” But if you examine the facts, you’ll find that the capital equipment on these projects never survives long enough to pay off the initial investment (solar is even worse, with much shorter equipment lifetimes).
But the greatest damage of these subsidies is that they divert resources from real energy solutions to these foolish “show” projects, and leave the nation with ever-increasing energy shortages. These shortages threaten every aspect of modern life, including the Internet which is making it possible for you to read this post.

More important than POTUSbama taking credit for Bush era windfarms:
1. number of jobs created
2. which ‘Americans’ got the grants
E.On Climate’s web site states:
$121 million borrowed tax dollars, 200 permanent jobs, and how many of those were there before any borrowed gov dollars changed hands?
3. How the ‘Americans’ are required to spend their grant money
I did meet an American citizen who got a small cut of stimulus money, an unemployed fellow paid to train as a windmill repairman in the city of Detroit. He agreed there was a dearth of windmill farms in our area, and State. He said the they were paying him to train. His unemployment had run out and the money was keeping him going.
Imagine if they had trained him to be a truck driver. Occasionally there are also job openings for truck mechanics, which normally require training certs.
