Damn, Allahpundit is a Chamberlain-esque RINO jackass
I’m hardly the first to make this point, but I’ll be damned if I ever forget it. Weren’t we proselytized by the politically savvy Republican moderates that nominating McCain would appeal to Independents, broaden the reach of the Republicans who had so often been tarred as rigid reactionaries? What happened? All the prominent moderates and Independents we were pandering to endorsed and voted for Obama. I mean, if there’s hardly any difference between the Dem and the Repub, all the kudos go to endorsing the Dem. Hell, I’m not even certain that McCain voted for McCain. I know his damn daughter didn’t.
It better not be that easy next time. And the AllahPundits of this world had better think up a new schtick for the next election cycle. Because the old one keeps reminding me of Neville Chamberlain.
Sorry, Allah. Sorry, Ed, Sorry, Michelle. I know you’re making money by covering the whole waterfront with seemingly disparate positions that add up to Republican diversity. But there can be no acceptable diversity when what’s at stake is our country. That’s not a polling kerfuffle. For most of us, the ones who don’t make our living posturing about who’s up and who’s down today, it’s a bitterly real question of whether we get to live the rest of our lives free or as slaves of the state. If the Independents can’t figure that out in spite of your temporizing, well, screw-em. Sometimes a smaller tent is more attractive — because it seems more of an accomplishment to get into. That’s the paradox.

Guess I can’t say b_itch on here.

Excellent.

As I recall, when this article was aired here, we were all suggesting new categories and developing the consensus of who fit in what category.
For those who haven’t seen the article, it is to laugh. Here’s the link.

Well, he’s fun — in a sick, sex-deprived, beta sorta way.
Take it from a chronic contrarian: it would be boring to agree with someone all the time. Among defenders are those who don’t demand umm… ideological purity.

250 years of progress – destroyed by a blogger that only has 1 vote in a blue state…
yep thats it….

McCain was and is more like an aging pissant!
But Sarah Palin was worth a trip to the polls,
As she will be again, should she choose to serve.

Here’s one of the comments from that article with a revised definition that seems pretty appropriate especially today:

They’ll let you go Tammy Bruce a little on here — just don’t spell it too well.

Sometimes boring can be nice. Well, maybe boring is the wrong word, peaceful is better; I’m so burned out on idiot liberals and/or trolls that all I crave is mature, rational, calm discussion with like-minded people.
I especially enjoy the funny replies in the comments section, I’m LOL-ing all day.

I saw Meghan McCain speak at Ball State University Monday night.
She claimed that gay marriage was related to the right to life mentioned in the Declaration of Independence.
I know, I thought she misspoke, but she went on and made it clear she didn’t misspeak at all.
In the mind of Meghan McCain she thinks legalizing gay marriage is more important than ending the brutal murder of 3,000+ babies that occur every day in the USA on average.
That tells you all you need to know about her.

Yes, and the nice thing about this place is that I can respect those who disagree, but do so with honesty and integrity. Liberals are disingenuous and have some odd need to ignore facts and cling to falsehoods. It’s usually a waste of energy to argue with them.

Which part Allah?
I have to agree with Mr. Frey, Allah provokes/promotes more conservative thought, (in one post) than the punk will provide in his lifetime. This one’s a classic “rino-lining” for the dusty shelves.
Rovin on November 19, 2009 at 6:56 AM
Never heard of this Instapunk guy/gal, but AP does deliver perspective, sometimes painful to admit to or recognize and trying to shut up different voices only makes you like the liberals who demand group think.
I don’t have to agree with anybody on everything, just like anyone who is married can attest to, but I would be a fool not to at least listen when you are making point. Where Instapunk differs from AP is the fact that he gets personal, probably blinded by his rage that he toils away in obscurity.
So AP you keep doing what you are doing, and Instapunk please go away.

I think I hate to say it, but I pretty much agree with the punk.
BigD on November 19, 2009 at 7:13 AM
Ouch. Advantage Punk. The analysis was good, especially the point quoted by Allah — if McCain wasn’t the answer for liberal moderates, then the premise must be wrong.
Jaibones on November 19, 2009 at 7:34 AM
ROTFLMAO… Yes indeed, and that is one of the main reasons that Michelle hired him in the first place. When it comes to consistently racking up the page hits and reader comments Allahpundit is the king of the blogsphere…
All hail King Allahpundit… Long may he piss in the wind and claim it’s reigning…
doriangrey on November 19, 2009 at 7:44 AM
Michelle should trade AllahPundit for this guy. AP’s nothing more than a gossip queen.

I have gotta stand up for AP here: I love Allahpundit!
He is snarky and funny, and this blog would be boring if I agreed with everything on it all the time.
Ouchie.
(This a pretty awesome link, though… )
bitsy on November 19, 2009 at 8:36 AM
AP loves all the attention.
Blake on November 19, 2009 at 9:01 AM
Your question supposes it would actually make a difference.
I’m happy to have AP right where he is because he contributes to the debate and challenges me to clarify my own ideas. That has some value. But let’s not make him out to be something that could actually put a dent in anyone’s ideology or affect their vote. While I believe his ego is disproportionate to the size of his talent, I don’t think even he suggests that.
SKYFOX on November 19, 2009 at 9:04 AM
Nicely framed.
Wilbur on November 19, 2009 at 9:55 AM
I would too, but considering he feels entitled to tell people what to put on their license plates, I’d probably have an easier time defending Allah’s fascism.
