Obama has spent more time and effort talking to public school kids and the Olympic committee than he has talking about war strategy with his field commanders.

Is Obama serious about Afghanistan?

Obama can answer this... ...by giving as much attention to this war that he has given his failing health care proposal:

When Obama uses his primetime media access to back up his campaign rhetoric in supporting the mission of winning in Afghanistan/Pakistan.

When Obama sends his talking heads like Matthews,olberman,and couric to push his message of the need for victory.

When the Obama white House uses it's 527 groups and other activists groups to push for victory in the Afghanistan war.

When we actually start seeing some "smart power" from this White House instead of constantly just "hearing" about how smart they are.

When Obama's democratic majorities in Congress stand up and speak out in support of Obama's campaign rhetoric of how important it is to win in Afghanistan/Pakistan and how it directly affects the safety of the US.

When Obama gives the military what it needs to complete their mission without political calculations and irresponsible delays.

.....then we will start to see that Obama is taking this war seriously.

America should get out of Afghanistan. It’s an irrelevant backwater. Republicans/conservatives should not let themselves be tricked into championing expansion of that war!

It’s in Obama interest to let the Afghan war turn into a quagmire. It will reenergize the far left. The blame will fall to Robert Gates and Hillary Clinton.

An Afghan quagmire will give Obama an opportunity to position himself as the moderate between the “warmongers” and the far left, and at the same time an excuse to gut the military for his domestic programs.

Of course, SFB, Obama, is not at all serious about Afghanistan. Afghanistan is just in inconvenient sideshow. SFB-Obama is only concerned about implementing marxism and overthrowing the US Constitution. We must fight him every millimeter of the way.

Of course not. TV stations in Aspen are far more accommodating.

ASPEN (AP) - Give a bear a small opening and he'll ransack an office. That's what one apparently hungry bear did when it found the door at an Aspen community TV station open a few inches Monday. Staffers say it looked like a bomb had gone off when they got to work Tuesday morning. The refrigerator was cleaned out, trash cans were overturned and a filing cabinet had been thrown across the room. The unruly visitor defecated and urinated before leaving. The last employee to leave the GrassRoots TV studio Monday left the office back door a few inches ajar. Bears are roaming around the mountain town, looking for things to eat. A late freeze wiped out some of their normal food sources.
