Surprise: Bill Richardson corruption probe has been “killed in Washington”
The decision not to pursue indictments was made by top Justice Department officials, according to a person familiar with the investigation, who asked not to be identified because federal officials had not disclosed results of the probe.
“It’s over. There’s nothing. It was killed in Washington,” the person told The Associated Press.

At what point do we call waashington tyranny?
daesleeper on August 27, 2009 at 10:37 AM
The same ones who find it imperative to prosecute our military and the CIA for protecting us.

Chicago politics is now DC politics. Eric Holder is a disgrace and a worthless POS.

All of Hillary’s peeps and financial supporters are being hounded by Obama.
When will Hillary strike back?

Great! Now he can finally get a Cabinet position. Aren’t there still a bunch open? He’s obviously qualified.

I guess they do not have time to carry out an on-going case when there are old cases that have to be re-opened. Nothing this corrupt bunch does can suprise anymore.

Same ones who dismissed the charges against the Black Panthers
But it’s the Obama Admin, no politizing of Justice there!
Rogue on August 27, 2009 at 10:44 AM
Criminal.
darwin on August 27, 2009 at 10:45 AM
So let’s see here. No prosecution of Black Panthers for intimidating voters, no going after Richardson, no going after Timmy “Turbo Tax” Geithner, etc., etc., but we do go after the brave men and women of CIA who have protected us from terrorists.
When can we say that Obama is trying to completely overthrow this country?

Memo from DOJ:
Catipillars in cells – BAD
Blowing smoke in faces of “freedom fighters” – BAD
Lying to “freedom fighters” – BAD
Corrupt Dems – MEH
Voter intimidation – OK if they are black, horror/outrage if they are white
Any additions?

Some are more equal than others. DOJ appears to be aiding and abetting criminal behavior of toadies related to the current regime.
Republican Congressmen, take names and numbers for your investigations starting in 2011. Restore justice and equal justice under the LAW.
BottomLine5 on August 27, 2009 at 10:49 AM
It would appear that there are others, more powerful, who might get dragged into the light if this case went ahead. Can’t have that – bad for business.
OldEnglish on August 27, 2009 at 10:51 AM
Looks like every corrupt thug is going to get a pass from Holder — as long as the criminals are Obama supporters, of course. Black Panthers swinging billy clubs and threatening white voters? No problem — charges dropped. Corrupt Democratic politicians involved in pay-for-play scams? No problem — charges won’t be pursued.
Bush-era CIA interrogators telling lies to suspected AQ terrorists to try and prevent another attack on the U.S.? — String ‘em up!!!
AZCoyote on August 27, 2009 at 10:51 AM
The sad thing is that both the Black Panthers and Richardson knew they were guilty as sin. That’s why the BPs didn’t show up in court (thus losing by default), and Richardson didn’t accept his appointment as commmerce secretary (or whatever it was that the big 0 picked him for).
And Holder gives them all a free pass. Sickening.

and if we had a non-corrupt MSM, they’d all be toast.
these campaign ads write themselves, problem is voters will scratch their heads saying, “What are they talking about, I’ve heard nothing about this….can’t be true”

This is another act of overt contempt for the law. This administration is lawless/above the law. They hold our Constitution in contempt and flaunt their imagined power to suppress due process, free speech, and the application of justice. This is TYRANNY. It must be fought and defeated at ALL costs!

I hope the GOP remembers this but does not move past it.

This is just another jaw-droppingly astounding move by the Ogabe administration. They really have no shame. Their corruption and thuggery seems to know no bounds, and we’re only 6 months in.
Next up for a “Get out of jail free” card…Charlie Rangel!
To borrow from an old expression we used to use in South Florida…
“Will the last Constitution-defending American Patriot in Washington DC please grab the flag.”
ornery_independent on August 27, 2009 at 11:07 AM
The retroactive probes will sure be a blast when the O-team is out of power.
