According to the new poll, while Lincoln isn’t the top choice for greatest president among either Republicans or Democrats, he enjoys a bipartisan appeal that is unique among the highest-ranking presidents.

Many of the presidents around the first Roosevelt were better, such as McKinley and Cleveland. Teddy and Woodrow Wilson were left-wing fascists much like Lincoln and Obama.

Not so much a correction as a reminder. There was a 60′s meaning for the word “porkulus” too.

Seriously? Reagan’s economic policies were resounding failures, he propped up dictators in Latin American and his drug and crime policies did irreparable harm to our inner-cities. Plus his while claim to winning the cold-war has been widely debunked. I guess it pays to be a celebrity.

That’s a cool story – thanks for sharing it. I’m sad to say that what I remember most about Mt. Vernon the last time I saw it was the color and thickness of the paint on the walls. (I was in high school and thus pretty clueless.)
