I suppose this is the progressive tolerance I’ve been told about. Let’s restrain ourselves when it comes to dealing with nations that kill our troops, but by all means we’ll kick the Vice President of the United States in the shins.
You do that, Maureen. Then when Biden is sworn in as VP in 9 days, you kick him in the shins too. Gotta be fair (and Biden was also responsible for the decisions made in gov’t too).
I get so angry every time a lib goes on about how Bush/Cheney defiled the constitution, how they trampled all over the bill of rights, can someone please, please tell me what right you have lost under Bush? What civil liberties you have been denied since Bush took office? Anyone?
You know, she was always pretty goofy, but I don’t remember her being so hateful years ago when I used to actually read her sometimes. Same as with Joe Klein. They’re both terminal BDS cases. It makes them sound like impotent angry toddlers. Anklebiters.
As soon as the direct threat/danger passed, the second-guessers – the same ones demanding back then that we be protected – are now on their self righteous crusade.
Today’s NYT is nothing but “war crimes” drivel. Dowd is a hack. What will these guys write about in the coming weeks? Frank Rich’s head will explode when the Messiah doesn’t close Gitmo or hold trials. Amazing what an intel brief can do to someone’s view of things. “major dad” writes
Sure, she would. She dreams about it, the bitter hag.
Lefties are like her. See this from 2000
Oct 19, 2000 | Al Gore has endured criticism for years that he’s constantly giving his image a makeover. Now Inside.com reports that Rolling Stone magazine airbrushed some of Gore’s assets in its latest issue. Apparently, a certain bulge in the vice president’s pants had to be “brought down a bit” in the photo adorning the rock magazine’s cover. Despite Gore’s reputation for being stiff, Rolling Stone’s Jann Wenner liked what he saw when he and Will Dana interviewed the candidate. “I urge you to vote for him,” Wenner writes in a separate editorial.
Of course, now the current VP’s package, and Gore’s are forgotten for this One.
Since the NYT is continuing to take on water in spite of its stellar line up of rapier wits, Ms Dowd, who actually used to be fun to read, once, will probably find herself looking for work in the lesser pubs where she will be well appreciated but make fewer appearances on Hot Air. It is only working for the Times that gives her cache. She really doesn’t have much new to say any more.

I heard a middle-aged guy ranting about that stuff in a grocery store just before the election, near a table where a couple of women were registering voters. I just glared at him. I wanted to say something, but I didn’t…but what I would have done is asked him that very thing.
It’s all just liberal hysterics.
As for Maureen Dowd, I fantasize about dropping her off in the middle of Tehran in an outfit from Frederick’s of Hollywood.
Well, we actually agree on something, sort of! I see a Pew-litzer for Ms. Dowdy when they start awarding them to bitter ex-girlfriends of movie stars who dumped them and marry a really hot babe, and who now write assinine, snarky columns while suffering from a headache from too many Cosmopolitans the night before
Blowback

I’ll hold my breath until you do that….

She got it wrong about Cheney going back to Casper. He’s going back home to Jackson, WY, with a stop in Casper.

They are all this way nowadays, juliesa. Or at least a lot of them are.
They’ve been fantasizing about violence against the administration for years now.
It just makes you wonder. What sort of people they are.

Well, we should have seen this coming.

The revolt of the, now safe, elites.

Aww, isn’t that precious. She must be awfully difficult to live with. It must be horrible to be her husband.
Oh, wait.

Maureen Dowd fantasizing now about kicking Cheney in the shins
Of course she is. He’s the only man she knows who wouldn’t hit her back.

I’m fantasizing about Dowd in front of Cheney, who’s holding a shotgun full of rock salt… Mmmm, good!

Starting to look like the long years of violent leftist fantasies aren’t quite over yet.
Should have known, I mean, have they changed their stripes since the French revolution? No. Not gonna change ‘em now.
The “peace & love” crap was just propaganda.
