Oliver Stone’s Bush biopic bombs

There’s been tremdous interest by the public in the box office fate of Oliver Stone’s W. for its second weekend in release. Well, it ran out of steam. QED International/Lionsgate’s Bush biopic sank 58% to No. 8 with $1.5 million Friday from 2,050 dates for what will probably be a $5.2M weekend. The $30M negative cost film should end up with $23M domestic box office gross by the end of its North American run. That means, with a $25M P&A investment and Lionsgate’s distribution fees, the film won’t recoup.

Too bad the movie wasn’t shown in other countries, it probably would have done fabulously.

To continue the off topic;

Some say that since she played a character in Oliver Stone’s movie “W” who presumably is meant to resemble Ann Coulter, that some nutty Right Winger beat her to death for sullying their impression of whatever Ann Coulter is to them.

This is total BS. Coulter is herself a bit nutty and over the top, that anyone would do something like this to “protect” their impression of her is beyond absurd. However, this theme will get kicked up by the lefty blogs and lefty MSM will carry it and promote it, and all the leftards will scream how EVIL we Republicans must be to do something like this. They won’t let any facts get in the way of a good smearing.
That’s my prediction. Think I’ll be wrong?

Who really wants to go sit in a theater for 2 hrs and watch a film about Chimpy? We have lived 7.75 years of this nightmare…why endure an extra 2 hours?
