Well, 16 years of syncopatic genuflection by Democrats and a large part of the media to the smartness, kindness and just all-around wonderfulness of the Clintons just might have made them think that a return to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. was ordained by Gaia. Which is why it’s hard to generate much if any sympathy for them now that there’s a new BFF for the left in America and Bill and Hillary are suddenly being treated and scrutinized as if they’re lifetime Republicans.
