Barack Obama suggests he would have left his Chicago church had his longtime pastor, whose fiery anti-American comments about U.S. foreign policy and race relations threatened Obama’s campaign, not stepped down.
…and I would have won the Ms World contest, if I’d ever entered it…and Mr. Gore really did invent the internet…

Barack’s just itching to prove he’s got more whopper experience than Hillary, isn’t he.
Dusty on March 28, 2008 at 1:01 AM
He already said this to Major Garrett during his interview on Fox.
GARRETT: So, quick yes or no. If had you heard them in person you would have quit?
OBAMA: If I had heard them repeated, I would have quit. I mean, obviously, understand that — understand that, you know, this is somebody who is like an uncle. If you have — to me. He’s somebody who helped me find Christ. And somebody who always talked to me in very powerful ways about relationship to God and our obligations to the poor.
Not the same at all. Especially if the controversy hadn’t arisen, he could have gone through the next 20 years “not hearing them repeated” and, if so, would have stayed.
The latest statement, assuming no contrition on Wright’s part, is unconditional. Big, big difference.

Obama – “I would have left the church if Wright had stayed”
Come on, Barry. You don’t really think any of us are stupid enough to believe that, do you?

Tomorrow’s Headlines Today: “Obama: I would have stopped being grandson to ‘typical white’ grandmother”
“Presidential aspirant Barack Obama (D-IL) followed up on his promise that he would have quit the Trinity United Church if controversial Pastor Jeremiah Wright hadn’t retired by stating that if his white grandmother hadn’t stopped being a ‘typical white person,’ he would have resigned his position as her grandson. No further explanation was offered as to why Obama has chosen to remain her grandson for 46 years given her penchant for ‘typical white person’ behavior. The grandmother was unavailable for comment.”

I wonder how many families from Haiti Rev. Wright could fit in that 10,000 sqft house of his?

Bingo. And Barack thought that Black Liberation Theology was just about liberating South Africans from Apartheid, and that great big map of the African Continent which used to grace TUCofC’s website was just part of a geography lesson for the children.
This just means that he knows people aren’t privy to the fact that Rev Otis Moss III is just as bad as Rev Wright AND that people don’t realize that the problem with the Church is not simply the Reverend, but the overall ideology of the Church: Black Liberation Theology. It’s not like Rev Wright is some radical person distorting the message of the Church. The Church itself and its core ideology is the problem.

Heheh, excellent point. So he had a problem with him being the Pastor of the Church, but no problem with him being the spiritual advisor to his campaign (or whatever was his title).
Fox & Friends is shocked that 1 out of 10 Americans think Obama is a Muslim. Gosh, I wonder why they’re confused:
Black theology or Black liberation theology is the theology of Elijah Mohammed, founder of the Nation of Islam theology of liberation. The field of black liberation theology received its name in the 1960s and includes in its history Pan Africanists from earlier centuries who used the teachings of Christianity and/or the vehicle of the black church as foundational to their efforts for securing a self-determining existence for Africans.

Racist, Muslim, and not just a little Marxist. What a perfect theology for the radical left Christian sect. Nice pickup, BD.
The Clintonian declaration that it was “him or me” over at TUCC is a classic, and breaks through into the Clinton Top Ten Hilarious Lies, along with “didn’t inhale, the rocks on the beach, I did not have sex with that woman, Tuzla” and the others. He fits right in.
Krauthammer has seen it all, but seems to find Obama unusually deceitful. So do I.
Blowback
