I cringe that he’s a Muslim. I mean, because it inflames all the fears. I think he’s probably just a nut case. But with that label attached to him, it will get the right wing going and it just — I mean these things are tragic, but that makes it much worse.

They were all praying it was some dumb redneck so they can bring out their “right wing extremist” document.

While I don’t think Hasan is simply a nut case because it is obvious his religion played a role Thomas may have been reading the posts here the other night.

Gee, I’m not a Harvard graduate, but maybe, just maybe, it has something to do with Islam.

Hasan is a nut case, just like every other Muslim jihadist, you dolt. Oh, how they wished that he had been a redneck Republican Christian. The media really makes me sick.

The libtards in the media are praying for another Timothy McVeigh right now.

Oh, heavens! Fears might be inflamed! Oh no! Whatever shall I do? Oh, I may faint from the sheer horror of the thought that Americans might be concerned about further violence caused by Islamic wacko murdering psychopaths! Oh, the humanity!
Now, then, on to the much more pressing matter of state-run health care, without which millions of Americans will die horribly, gasping out their last breath in the streets as they whisper those final words, oh, if only I had government bureaucrats in charge of my medical decisions. Help us, Obama! You’re our only hope! (And of course, this is not fear-inflaming at all.)

I can tell you for certain this was the act of a Muslim Terrorist.
No, I’m not a terrorism expert, and I didn’t stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night, but I do have an ounce of common sense.

I wonder if there have been enough attacks to do a statistical analysis. Compare the “murderous rampage against strangers” rate of Muslims to other segments of the population. Principle component analysis on all factors.
Count to 10 on November 8, 2009 at 2:40 PM
I would be very interested to see results of that study, even though I could pretty much predict the results right now. Even not counting the 3000 lives snuffed out on 9/11, I’m sure the Jihadists would dominate that statistic…
SG1_Conservative on November 8, 2009 at 2:43 PM
Seriously. Where the Victorians would get the vapors at the sight of a bare piano leg, our modern-day Victorians get the vapors from the idea that reality may actually validate certain stereotypes. I really feel these people are miserable and I’d love to put them out of their misery.

I don’t know why we just cannot be honest in America.
We don’t have to persecute Muslims, or “glass” the M.East as people in my life have said, but we need to have a frank and honest conversation about this stuff. No need to get loud or angry, just honest.
But the Dhimmicrats don’t want it. They’d rather just bury their busy little heads into the proverbial sand.

Anybody remember how the Clinton white House went after militia groups after the OK bombing even though they had nothing to do with it? But since Timothy McVeigh was a white male who didn’t like the government and militia groups were primarily white males who didn’t like the government, the Clinton White House went after them and pretty much wiped them out for no other reason than the color of their skin.
But God forbid we actually recognize the reality of muslim terrorism. Pathetic.

Perhaps even more importantly, it might reveal something about the subset of Muslims that does this. I’m betting that they are the ones that go through a kind of “failed westernization” — and see murder as a way back to salvation.
Ever heard of the Hashasheem (sic)? Where we get the word “assassin” from?

fourdeucer on November 8, 2009 at 3:07 PM
which is funny and/or sad because frankly most supposed “rednecks” that I know wouldn’t even consider doing that. Then again, I think they’re disappointed that there were no “hate crimes” against Muslims after 9/11. That was their theme after 9/11 right?
mjk on November 8, 2009 at 3:08 PM
The murderer made this about Islam not the victims. Good grief I hate the media.

Good grief! Is anyone watching PBS anymore. When they’re not playing reruns of washed up has beens from the 50’s and 60’s or new age self help guru’s to squeeze a few more bucks out of a rapidly aging viewership, “Remember Public Television in your Will.”, they’re whining about how right wingers are all dangerous psychopaths just needing a little push to go off the deep end.
I quit watching 15 years ago when they canceled The Prisoner after I sent them a hundred bucks. (I’m still pissed about that.)

Could it be really tragic that he killed and wounded a bunch of people, just once?
Cindy Munford on November 8, 2009 at 3:12 PM
I think once events began to clear in the wake of the shooting, members of the MSM began hoping that it would play to their narrative of an overly stressed, multi-deployment combat arms soldier. As it became clear that it was a heretofore undeployed officer with a doctorate, apparent suicidal tendencies, and a profound attachment to Islam. I’ll bet you’re going to see near-total refusal of the MSM to cover the shooting and investigations into the motive of the shooter. Fortunately for them, they’ve all kinds of crowing to do over the passing of Speaker Pelosi’s health care bill.
Spc Steve on November 8, 2009 at 3:17 PM
lol redneckism

Also “rednecks” (aka “right wingers”) aren’t going around ramming planes into buildings and blowing themselves up to kill thousands of innocent people. The old bloc media are truly some of the most disgusting human beings alive. God forbid we honestly discuss why a man with his record of speaking out for the Jihadists was allowed to stay in the Army. I heard some Army bureaucrat on the radio today say he was worried that “diversity” would become a casualty of this incident. This is a sick world we live in with sick people.

There are lots of Muslims in the Armed Forces. I’d say the overwhelming majority of them aren’t plotting anything beyond ordering a cheese pizza for dinner.
This joker, on the other hand
Went to the same mosque as 2 of the 9-11 hijackers at the same time those hijackers were there
Got in trouble for proselytizing his patients
Was under investigation for very “interesting” internet posts
Was vocal about his opposition to US policy while wearing the uniform…..
He didn’t have a few red flags. He Had a freakin’ Soviet military parade. Speaking of Soviets—back during the Cold War, if a member of the military had as much vocal support for the Russkies as he seems to for bin Laden and his crew—his career wouldn’t be worth a plugged nickel.

Remember the Acorn employee who claimed to have shot her husband(which she didn’t do). Before she did she contacted the police numerous times to set the stage. That is exactly what this terrorist psychiatrist did by claiming to be friendless, lonely, and harassed. Once the stage was set he went on a premeditated murderous rampage.

New York-Based Radical Muslim Hails Fort Hood Massacre
Sunday, November 08, 2009
NEW YORK — A New York City bicycle cabbie who mocked the murder of American journalist Daniel Pearl and posted a prayer on the Web calling for the murder of Jews is now sending a “Get Well Soon” message to the suspected Fort Hood gunman, the New York Post reported.
Yousef al-Khattab, 41, a radical Muslim in the borough of Queens who runs RevolutionMuslim.com, claims on the site that the soldiers massacred at the Texas base deserved to be massacred, and he insists the victims are in “eternal hellfire.” As for the suspected gunman — Army psychiatrist Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan — Al-Khattab hails him as a hero.

Okay, Genius Boy. You got a dude here who JUST HAPPENED to go to mosques with preachers who were just A-OK by the standards of crapheads who flew planes into American buildings. Who JUST HAPPENED to have expressed very Osama-friendly statements both online and in person, who JUST HAPPENED to go to the local convenience store dressed like he’s on Hajj or some shiz the morning before he went shooting. Who also JUST HAPPENED to be handing out Korans just before said shooting on a FRIDAY AFTERNOON.
If he was not in the least motivated by religious fervor, please deduce through your nuanced subtle interpretation WHY THE FRAK he went shootin?

Not only a Muslim but one who like Newsweek somehow imagined that the giving of blood and treasure to liberate Iraqis from a genocidal maniac was not the most generous thing one nation has ever done for another but something so evil it was worth killing American soldiers to protest.
Newsweek – and all of those who condemned the liberation of Iraq should cringe. They share the blame for this man made disaster but you won’t ever see them- and their political arm the Democrat Party – blaming themselves.

Well, C’mon, I was reading the other article. I’m a pro-beer-drinking-loutish-group-harrassment, pro-car-vandalism-to-the-outsider Christian myself. And all the little old church ladies who agree with public drunken abuse and keying of cars for reverent Muslims–we caused this!!
I hang my head in shame. Keep in mind that we cro-magnum pro-lewd-comment conservative Christians cause all that sexual harassment out there in the work place as well. Normally we’re against sex outside of marriage, but if a woman wants to show her face in the business world, its just God’s punishment that she’d better put out!
(Caution: Irony above.)
My experience is that you’re more likely to find Union-dems as publicly drunken, abusive bigots “expressing themselves” and you won’t find that many contentious traditionalists vandalizing cars.
Axeman on November 8, 2009 at 4:45 PM
Muslims should face more scrutiny in sensitive positions. Disloyalty, workplace misogyny, violation of American law or custom should not be overlooked as they were in Hasan’s case.
Accomodation does not require accomodating annihilation of western laws in favor of romantic Islamist totalitarianism.
SarahW on November 8, 2009 at 4:49 PM
OK, let’s say he’s a nut — were there any outside infulences on Hasan who are not nuts who poisoned his mind to the point he would do that?
Thomas and the other liberals in the media just want to say “he’s nuts” and drop it at that, as if the Hasan’s reasoning for killing 13 people was on the same level as John Hinkley’s attempt to impress Jodi Foster by killing president Reagan. But there’s a little more to it than that, and since the suspect is very much alive, we’re going to hear that reasoning based on Islamic extremism, unless Hasan is completely gagged by his lawyers.
jon1979 on November 8, 2009 at 4:49 PM
It’s quite ironic that Hasan’s closest friend was a bare-faced Christian woman whom he met alone with for coffee (the hussy!), whom he told “I’m going to do good work for God,” as one of the last things he told anybody before Ft. Hood.

. . . including in the medical field. Remember the two docs in Britain who went on a bombing spree? I’d hate to be under anesthesia with a Muslim medic holding a scalpel and cutting into me. Sure, he might be one of the good ones – but how would I know what verses in the koran he read that morning before showing up for work?
honsy on November 8, 2009 at 5:15 PM
If 99% were clean, how many jihadists does that leave in place? 50? 150? How many Muslims are in the forces? I’ve heard numbers from 5 to 15 thousand.
Wasn’t that a touching part? These old friends of 4 months shared their secrets as old friends do, over coffee. Horsesh1t.
BL@KBIRD on November 8, 2009 at 5:29 PM
The audio won’t play for me. Just curious (not really) — did the liberal dolt interviewing these two ask them to elaborate on exactly how 12 murders by a jihadi Islamist was “much worse” and “tragic” because he is a Muslim?
It was worse for me, just there’s no confusion. Worse because we are at war with these death cult demons and if our government were not insane it would have been very easy to end his jihad prematurely and send him off to swim in a lake of fire. But I suspect that these two nitwits think it was tragic for some other reason.
