We had been told there were no “death panels” in the bill either. But look closely at the provision mandating bureaucratic panels that will be calling the shots regarding who will receive government health care.
Look closely at provisions addressing illegal aliens’ health care coverage too.
Those of us who love freedom and believe in open and transparent government can only be dismayed by midnight action on a Saturday. Speaker Pelosi’s promise that Americans would have 72 hours to read the final bill before the vote was just another one of the D.C. establishment’s too-common political ploys. It’s broken promises like this that turn people off to politics and leave them disillusioned about the future of their country.

Will there be anything left in 2010?

I lovehow this woman can control the debate from her house while in her Pajamas. Ods on official denials from the WH itself to something she posted on Facebook?

Somebody fire up the troll batsignal.
fiatboomer on November 8, 2009 at 12:25 PM
That’s if the country survives to see 2010, or even 2012.
There’s still two months left, and they’re going to try to ram though three major, altering agendas.
Enoxo on November 8, 2009 at 12:26 PM
I really like Palin, but I hope she’s gathering political steam for something big. Her record on reform in Alaska, while running as a Republican, is exactly what we need now to not necessarily purge the party of Rinos, but promote honest Conservatives to positions that allow them to challenge in primaries or win nominations for the upcoming elections. Her Facebook page has been a great read as of late, I only hope this is all going somewhere.

2010 is coming, and it will be delicious.
VegasRick on November 8, 2009 at 12:27 PM
Palin is wrong about this one. A ‘rat Congress which has been working three day weeks wasn’t trying to pull any shenanigans by holding a vote at midnight on a Saturday in an effort to hide it from the American people.
Come on now.

Freedom will survive, one way or another.
I can’t say as much for the Beltway Critters infesting our Republic.

I love this woman. I wonder how many White House operatives are permanently assigned to watching her Facebook page and forced to live in fear of her next post.

The meaning of Sunday’s coming.
It’s a reference to a very famous sermon by a black preacher. He said it many times during the sermon. It is in reference to Friday the day that Jesus died but Sunday the day that He rose from the dead is coming.
It’s saying that it might be seem dark and horribly foreboding right now but a Sunday is coming by the grace of Almighty God.
Check the Title Sarah used.

Why does your username link to “Best Obama Tees?”

Palin posted this late last night. Again, she was the only GOP candidate who thrashed this. Another home-run.

Suspect that quite a few hours in the WH are devoted to watching and reading conservative blogs and web sites, also TV and radio. How else could they have become so super sensitive? chuckle, chuckle
jeanie on November 8, 2009 at 12:33 PM
Ed’s post sounds familliar to what Sarah posted early.

Keep up the fire Sarah, I look forward to calling you Madam President.

As a riposte to those who say that conservatives are only concerned about themselves. I’m proving that I’m interested in supporting even the human garbage who would try and sell tripe that praises President Ogabe.

Steele slamed it last night as well. It was very good.

Thank God someone in the Republican Party is paying attention and speaking out!!! I’m liking Palin more and more. She isn’t going to sit down and shut up.

Why would you support the scum that’s working for the destruction of our republic and all that we hold sacred? That kind of foolishness is what put us in the crapper in the first place.

Fred Zackly!
The Statists continually whine about the lies made about their vaunted healthcare bill, but never enumerate them.
Why can’t they do that for once?
If there are SOOO many lies and falsehoods being spewed about this bill, it should be easy for them list what they are and easily refuted them, right?
Juno77 on November 8, 2009 at 12:46 PM
That’s because it’s a LOT harder to try and argue that “MY Socialized medicine plan is better than THEIR Socialized medicine program,” than it does to simply point out that (of course) Socialized medicine is an inherently moronic idea.
If instead, you simply take the position that it is the job of Socialists to PROVE that their plan for complete government control is better than freedom, it’s immediately obvious that liberals don’t have a leg to stand on.
That’s the difference between having tactics and having values.
logis on November 8, 2009 at 12:47 PM
If the democrats are not listening to their constituents now, they won’t be listening in 2010 or 2012. If they will sell their vote now, for political favor, they will still be selling it in 2011-12-’and beyond’.
They are either in denial, or their voters are brain dead.
“Vote democrat. It’s the only way to fix this.”

I am so angry about this and I swear my husband and I are determined to do everything we can to vote out Democrats and RINOs in November. We have been attacked from within and now if our children and grandchildren are to have any America close to what God gave us, we have got to mobilize and do what Sarah said… make these people rue the Sunday coming!
I believe that Ameria is cumbling because we perform the most abortions in the world after China, we create for our own consumption and export ponography, violence and vulgarity manufatured by Hollywood, promiscuity and premariatal sex abound, greed, materialism are pushed… I beleive God is withdrawing his blessings from us and why shouldn’t He?

October 29, 2009
Conference has compiled a list of important page numbers and provisions in the 1,990-page “Affordable Health Care for America Act:”
Page 94—Section 202(c) prohibits the sale of private individual health insurance policies, beginning in 2013, forcing individuals to purchase coverage through the federal government
Page 110—Section 222(e) requires the use of federal dollars to fund abortions through the government-run health plan—and, if the Hyde Amendment were ever not renewed, would require the plan to fund elective abortions
Page 111—Section 223 establishes a new board of federal bureaucrats (the “Health Benefits Advisory Committee”) to dictate the health plans that all individuals must purchase—and would likely require all Americans to subsidize and purchase plans that cover any abortion
Page 211—Section 321 establishes a new government-run health plan that, according to non-partisan actuaries at the Lewin Group, would cause as many as 114 million Americans to lose their existing coverage
Page 225—Section 330 permits—but does not require—Members of Congress to enroll in government-run health care, notice how they exclude them-selves.
Page 255—Section 345 includes language requiring verification of income for individuals wishing to receive federal health care subsidies under the bill—while the bill includes a requirement for applicants to verify their citizenship, it does not include a similar requirement to verify applicants’ identity, thus encouraging identity fraud for undocumented immigrants and others wishing to receive taxpayer-subsidized health benefits
Page 297—Section 501 imposes a 2.5 percent tax on all individuals who do not purchase “bureaucrat-approved” health insurance—the tax would apply on individuals with incomes under $250,000, thus breaking a central promise of then-Senator Obama’s presidential campaign
Page 313—Section 512 imposes an 8 percent “tax on jobs” for firms that cannot afford to purchase “bureaucrat-approved” health coverage; according to an analysis by Harvard Professor Kate Baicker, such a tax would place millions “at substantial risk of unemployment”—with minority workers losing their jobs at twice the rate of their white counterparts
Page 336—Section 551 imposes additional job-killing taxes, in the form of a half-trillion dollar “surcharge,” more than half of which will hit small businesses; according to a model developed by President Obama’s senior economic advisor, such taxes could cost up to 5.5 million jobs
Page 520—Section 1161 cuts more than $150 billion from Medicare Advantage plans, potentially jeopardizing millions of seniors’ existing coverage
Page 733—Section 1401 establishes a new Center for Comparative Effectiveness Research; the bill includes no provisions preventing the government-run health plan from using such research to deny access to life-saving treatments on cost grounds, similar to Britain’s National Health Service, which denies patient treatments costing more than $35,000
Page 1174—Section 1802(b) includes provisions entitled “TAXES ON CERTAIN INSURANCE POLICIES” to fund comparative effectiveness research, breaking Speaker Pelosi’s promise that “We will not be taxing [health] benefits in any bill that passes the House,” and the President’s promise not to raise taxes on families with incomes under $250,000

I like Sarah, I really really do, I know she will be a big help for us with the upcoming elections but we need someone in DC to stand up too. Steele is a joke. Our house and Senate leaders don’t seem to be fighting hard for us. I think Bachman should be the House leader for us. Not sure who in the Senate but I think Bachman would take names.
Brat4life on November 8, 2009 at 1:06 PM
I love Sarah Palin, I really do. Will she be the GOP candidate in 2012? IDK. I will whole-heartedly support whomever is the GOP candidate however because I feel all RINOS will be exposed and ran out of dodge. They won’t get any support from the GOP toward any presidential aspirations.
I think Fred Thompson would be an EXCELLENT replacement for Michael Steele. We need someone in that position that has zero tolerance for RINOS and someone that commands respect. Some may not like how Fred ran his presidential campaign and, I’m sure, he doesn’t really like how he ran it in hindsight, but idealistically, he’s excellent. We need someone to set the tone and the message. We need a vision statement that is bold and fiscally responsible and we’ll retake the WH in 2012.
As far as election night 2010, I think we should start planning now for an online party where we can all chat, eat popcorn and play drinking games in the safety of our own homes! It will be sooooo much fun!

Check out the lyrics to the Tree63 song, “It’s Friday but Sunday is Coming”.
“Darkness is already crumbling.
It’s Friday, but Sunday comes!
Sunday! Hallelujah!
It’s not so far, it’s not so far away.”
Yes, it’s supposed to be in a spiritual sense, but how many times do we see this practically in our every day lives?

Wow, you are so profound. Come up w/that all on your own?
We have Palin and you’ve got Pelosi. HA! Talk about a dingbat! I’ve seen some stupid politicians in my lifetime, but she is #1 when it comes to lack of intelligence, coherence and ability to tell the truth! She’s all yours!
JAM on November 8, 2009 at 2:41 PM
I think the “something bigger” is evident by the Oprah, Gridiron appearances etc.
I do worry Obamacare may pass, even with her mobilizing her supporters to yell “stop!” I think she’s laying groundwork to try to stop this, or to beat them over the head with it in 2010 if it does pass.
cs89 on November 8, 2009 at 2:47 PM
what Palin should do is write out several dozen little pithy remarks like this and have someone put them on 3X5 cards
Then pass them out to R’s so they know what to say when they get in front of a camera

Does anyone else think that a Congress that would do what this one has done so far is above coming up with a way to just not allow the 2010 election? Do you think they are too elthical? To committed to the Constitution? Maybe too intelligent?
