It is my understanding that the shooter was brought down, or shot by a female member of an armed guard security team at the church in CO Springs.
Thank God he was killed, if he actually was. Without proper security, many more could easily have been killed this afternoon. Unfortunately, a teenage girl has been reported killed in the CO Springs shootings.
That’s the way they’ve been reporting it since the press conference a while ago–that the security guard put him down shortly after he opened fire. They’d increased security at the church as a result of the previous shooting in Arvada, which was a wise move. The shooter has been described as a white male, roughly age 20, everywhere I’ve seen. They apparently found several suspicious IED-type devices outside the building–one story said that he may have been tossing them out the window of his car as he drove up. It’s a senseless tragedy, but that security guard saved a lot of lives today.
Tactical Helmat? Body Armor? Didn’t help him much, did it? Keep in mind, a “tactical” helmet may be nothing more than a skateboarder’s helmet, and there are several websites that sell fake PASGT and MICH helmets, as well as fake Interceptor body armor to paintballers, airsoft enthusiasts, and film/TV productions.

That’s good shooting by security, if he was wearing body armor.
Blowback
