So, like the vigilantes of old, these freelance protesters have decided on their own that John Yoo is guilty of a crime and needs to be punished. No longer content to let the courts decide whether he is even to be charged with anything, much less found guilty, much less determine the punishment, the anti-Yoo protesters have decided to stalk him at home, menacing him and making sure that “John Yoo is going to have problems living a normal life now.”

I have emailed him a few times. Here’s his address if you want to give him some support:

Bumper ornaments. It’s too tempting.

1 Pro-Life nutjob = All Pro-Lifers
19 Muslim nutjobs = Not “real” Muslims
30 protesting nutjobs = America at its finest
mankai on June 1, 2009 at 8:15 AM
I know one way to get rid of them.
SouthernGent on June 1, 2009 at 8:16 AM
I didn’t see the phrase “torture memos” in the zombie blog spot or the Daily Planet article. Seems to be a HotAir phrase.
BigD on June 1, 2009 at 8:16 AM
I’m thinking something extremely foul smelling at the spot at which they congregate.
Thanks, I’ll drop him a note of support. I’d be really surprised if he hasn’t been spammed beyond recognition by the lefties, though.
trubble on June 1, 2009 at 8:18 AM
OBVIOUSLY a case of anti-Asian bigotry. I’m sure MSNBC will be exposing the not-so-secret hatred these protesters have for people who are “different” from them.
I hope they take Yoo’s life experiences as a minority into consideration.
mankai on June 1, 2009 at 8:18 AM
“Free Second Amendment lessons, inquire inside”
That’d be my sign at the end of the driveway.
hippie_chucker on June 1, 2009 at 8:21 AM
Site is blocked for me at work. Can I assume it’s the usual suspects? i.e. crazy looking lefties?
Dash on June 1, 2009 at 8:26 AM
This is 2009, in America the term “journalistic ethics” is merely vestigal and archaic.
Crusty on June 1, 2009 at 8:27 AM
It’s Berkeley… you do the math.
mankai on June 1, 2009 at 8:27 AM
“John Yoo is going to have problems living a normal life now.”
If they threatened and stalked my and my family, they too would have problems living a normal life; specifically, walking without dragging a leg behind them.
Bishop on June 1, 2009 at 8:32 AM
I hope they don’t shoot him in church.
hicsuget on June 1, 2009 at 8:41 AM
Isn’t this Obama’s fault for releasing the memos?
Obama should be held to account and have this man protected.
bridgetown on June 1, 2009 at 8:44 AM
It used to be that being in church was as safe as being in a mother’s womb… hmmm… I guess it is.
mankai on June 1, 2009 at 8:45 AM
so how long until Obama has Federal Marshals providing round th eclock protection?
todler on June 1, 2009 at 8:46 AM
So do I, but this is in California, remember? However….
Something more foul smelling that Berkeley hippies? Good luck with that. As for me, I was thinking of using soap (that was tested on animals) and water.

If there’s any justice in the world, a car will come screaming down that road behind them.
Daggett on June 1, 2009 at 9:14 AM
Really?
ddrintn on June 1, 2009 at 9:16 AM
LOL…good one…
ddrintn on June 1, 2009 at 9:18 AM
They’re just following Obama’s instructions to “argue with them and get in their face”.
CP on June 1, 2009 at 9:20 AM
SG, I am concerned that the Tiller murder will set free some already fully unhinged leftist to be the vigilante that she so desperately wants to be.
Yoo best be defensively armed at home. In my limited knowledge of these things (help me out, Limerick), I would think a good 12 gauge pump shotgun.
Jaibones on June 1, 2009 at 9:21 AM
Hmm, Hippy Repellant… Well, you could get them jobs, they’d run for the hills. Or maybe start a drum circle across the street, they’d lose focus and join in. Maybe toss a frisbee or hackey sack in the middle of them. Perhaps point at their feet and tell them their sandals are untied. Wait, wait, I know, tell them somebody put out their trash 2 blocks over and didn’t sort the recyclables…
trubble on June 1, 2009 at 9:25 AM
I wonder if Yoo has any kids.
Any group that protests at a home or a school (sometimes these goons target the offspring’s school) is engaging in fascist thuggery and loses all credibility. Period.
I don’t know if I could control myself if I found these things in my driveway anywhere near my kid. On second thought though, I know I could call my police and they would protect my property rights and throw them off immediately. Not so in Berkeley, where protesters can vandalize, trespass, and even kidnap (that’s what blocking a door is ) with impunity.
juliesa on June 1, 2009 at 9:27 AM
Why would anyone want to live in Berkley, it escapes me.
Yep, I’d say I hope he has some guns at home, just in case one of those thugs decides to help himself to his fridge.
newton on June 1, 2009 at 9:34 AM
And that’s just elementary leftist math!
Wait til calculus!
blatantblue on June 1, 2009 at 9:35 AM
I’d go buy a bean bag gun
blatantblue on June 1, 2009 at 9:36 AM
LMAO
Jaibones on June 1, 2009 at 9:39 AM
Good. Hope every day is hell for him. Traitors deserve their fate.
LevStrauss on June 1, 2009 at 9:42 AM
A 5 gal. bucket of soapy water and a garder hose would do the trick.

yeah right.

Fire up the SUV and floor it down the driveway…
D2Boston on June 1, 2009 at 10:25 AM
Your a damn fool. Is that all you got? Torture memos aside, this guy is the main person who thinks the President should be king, Pelosi, Murtha, and the rest of the bastards are just fine with that, they let it go on too, and when Clinton was in office they overtly backed this systematic removal of checks and balances. So yeah keep looking at things in a boolean while we all get screwed. It’s fools like you that keep em in business.
LevStrauss on June 1, 2009 at 10:29 AM
I find this really annoying.

I’ll stay a damn fool and you stay as you are! G’day!

“Papermaster”? Sounds like a pseudonym.
ddrintn on June 1, 2009 at 11:56 AM
So that is the safe zone for tyrants and their enablers? I could give two sh!ts about the well being of these oligarchs and their yes men because that is what they give towards our rights. These people would have been tarred and feathered in the blink of an eye when this country had some semblence of brains and balls. Nothing but masochists now, that want to be dominated by their government, “liberals” want to be dominated financially and “conservatives” want to be dominated through “law” enforcement powers. A nation of eunuchs.
