Keith Olbermann, the host of “Countdown” on MSNBC, said: “There’s no question that it’s going to change. Of course we don’t know exactly what’s going to happen. I think you could say I’m going to take a different position on the diamond, but it’s the same approach. It’s an interesting switch of poles but by no means a switch of roles.”
Mr. Olbermann noted that “Fox News and Rush Limbaugh rose during the Clinton years,” whereas he and his fellow MSNBC host Rachel Maddow “rose during the Bush Administration.”
“But after the Bush inauguration,” he added, “Fox and Limbaugh didn’t go off the air. If you’re any good at all, you should be able to react to a changed landscape.”

Does this mean that Olberdouche will now be a “catcher” instead of a “pitcher”?

Which remarks poorly on the intellectual level of their audience.

I wonder what the comedians will do now.

Still making as much sense as ever, right Olbamaniac?

I don’t want to sign up for the Times but I have to assume that this an article as opposed to part of his broadcast. Let’s all try to imagine the people that this entire broadcast crew is made up of because there is no way even the most strong willed rational person could sit through that soliloquy and not laugh out loud.

Olbermann is an liberal looney assclown, always has been, always will be. If anyone does not know he’s already in the tank for 0bama, then they are insane and should be institutionalized.

This entire article should put the fairness doctrine theory to bed. “We know we’re not going to be able to maintain this level,” Mr. Griffin of MSNBC acknowledged-Uh Ya, level of what? Liberal BIAS maybe…
“Fox is the leading conservative voice in the media, and the conservative audience is loyal. The liberal people have more options. ”uh ya duh…
Save this for the article for the SCOTUS hearing.

Well, there’s always an audience for a sitdown comedian.
And clown shows never really go out of style; bread and circus sort of thing.
Anyway, Olbermann doesn’t vote so his impartiality simply cannot be questioned. As he says, “I’m not a liberal, I’m just right.”
The man doesn’t have an ego; he’s got his own satellite.

Oh please. Trying to compare Fox News and Rush to Olberdouche and the Mad Harpy is like comparing prime rib to fetid, rotten roadkill on the side of the highway.
KSgop on November 15, 2008 at 11:40 AM
Obey is actually just behind Ophra as the biggest whore for Obama. Story should be Kieth hints he wants to go to bed with Obama. Oberman could not carry Rush’s jock and its a insult to even mention his name in the same sentence as Limbaugh.
Irvin88 on November 15, 2008 at 11:43 AM
LOL! So the NYT has decided to publish humor pieces, I see. It isn’t possible for Olbermann to shove his nose up Obama’s rear end any more than it already is.

Nothing to talk about except himself.

I suspect 2-3 years from now Olby’s going end up looking and sounding like Kevin Bacon as Chip Diller in “Animal House”, standing on the sidewalk screaming “All is well!” as the crazed panicked mob stampedes over him and tramples his body into the concrete.
jon1979 on November 15, 2008 at 11:54 AM
Remember that Walter Winchell, probably the most influential columnist/commentator in American history, eventually ended up distributing flyers of his stories by hand.
In the street.
To people walking by.
For free.

Dr. Cwac.Cwac ya beat me to it! I was gonna say, so now he’ll be bent over rather than on his knees. ? ! Nasty thought, but true.

Rush Limbaugh is far, far more than a partisan poo-flinger. This is why he survives no matter who sits in the Oval Office. Olbermann, on the other hand, I can see becoming quite boring the next four years.

Here’s some change I could believe in, Sir. Resign.
Dr.Cwac.Cwac on November 15, 2008 at 12:35 PM
What the Uberdunce means by this “change of position” is a shift from all fours to flat on his back. Because he can’t get any more in bed with this guy.
thekingtut on November 15, 2008 at 1:04 PM
Hasn’t trendy America moved Olbermann from the “What’s Hot!” column to “What’s Not!” ? That’s his fan base after all, the “so yesterday” crowd. I thought it was now cool-chic to make fun of what a loon Keith is.
Marcus on November 15, 2008 at 1:13 PM
I have it on good account that Olby’s always been a catcher. In fact, he’s been treated several times for the clap.
/Olby, prove me wrong.
john1schn on November 15, 2008 at 1:18 PM
If Jon Stewart thinks that being the first African American President automatically qualifies Obama for a spot on Mt. Rushmore, he’s truly living in some alternate universe.
The Mt. Rushmore Presidents’ performance and accomplishments were what qualified them for the prominence, not being first at anything, including President Washington. His deeds are legend, and being the first POTUS was, if anything, a very minor part in his being memorialized on Mt. Rushmore.
KendraWilder on November 15, 2008 at 1:50 PM
Olbermann is a dope, he helped cheerlead the guy into office and will be his defender in chief as long as the guy is in office.

If you listen to The Great One a.k.a. Mark Levin, it would seem as if Overbite is also a “short”stop if you know what I mean.

There is a very old joke that has a punch line like this: “It’s your turn on the barrel”.

Sounds like he and Andrew Sullivan have worked out an agreement.
