Good lord, this has to be the worse campaign ever when it comes to media management… I’ve never seen such stupidity when it comes to message management… especially against someone who knows how to take capitalize on inconsistencies… I blame toxic combo of Bush media advisors and McCain get-along pansyism
Of course he loves America. Where else could a wimp like him get this close to becoming dictator-for-life?
Browncoatone on October 17, 2008 at 5:19 PM
Well… I know he doesn’t. He just loves himself.
Illinidiva on October 17, 2008 at 5:10 PM
you would DARE contradict she who would speak for all of us? you know, she who is “one of us?” a “real american”?
ernesto on October 17, 2008 at 5:20 PM
He doesn’t love America so much as he loves the power available in the Presidency here over other nations like Kenya, or Indonesia and the ease in which it cam be obtained by doing nothing but co-writing books with terrorists and voting present so you don’t have a track record.
econavenger on October 17, 2008 at 5:21 PM
It was a press interview. What did you expect her to say?
Isn’t that woman, Sarah Palin, a wonderful gift to America (statement, not a question). I find it incredibly sad that people waste so very many bits of electronic ink attempting to defame or put down someone who is such a role model. I’d vote for her more than once if I had the address of Barry’s ACORN represntative.
Onager on October 17, 2008 at 5:23 PM
With love like that, you don’t need hate.
J.J. Sefton on October 17, 2008 at 5:23 PM
QUESTION: (NBC) Governor, the Washington Post and Peggy Noonan both said independently today that you are unqualified to be commander in chief. How do you respond to that?
Ahh…now the MSM is using the Peggy Poison to sharpen the pungency of their attacks.
We’ll remember you for this Noonan, Brooks, Parker et al.
pseudonominus on October 17, 2008 at 5:24 PM
Makes a bit more sense after actually reading it. So much for first impressions.

I think that unlike us politicians have to nuance their answers some times. If they say the truth, they get pilloried.
Illinidiva on October 17, 2008 at 5:26 PM
Obama didn’t attack her at the debate when given the chance. She is probably returning the favor.

That was going to be my comment as well. He loves America so much, he can’t be bothered to set aside a few measily minutes to sing the National Anthem. Give me a frucking break.
This is the problem with Republicans. They honestly think the mass media and the Democrats are honorable people. Meanwhile, the Democrats and the mass media attack and smear Republicans and their supporters to no end.
Enough. Call out the media and the Democrats for what they are: hate-America douchebags. Enough of this “my friend” crap and “my esteemed colleague” nonsense and bestowing good intentions onto political opponents who have in no way earned the benefit of the doubt or the respect.
Some SERIOUS astroturfing going on in that comment thread.
One of the commenters: “Here’s one big-city conservative who won’t be voting for Sarah Palin & John McCain…”
Another: “Two years ago this lady was a mayor of a city 1/25th the size of…”

We all know that Obama hates America (hates everything it ever stood for), but loves the wealth and power we have, that he can exploit.
Obama is an Indonesian kid, as he spent his most impressionable years being raised in Indonesia, along with Indonesian citizenship, it appears) about to take over the US. Whoopee!

Of course, Obamuhhh loves America. Unfortunately, it’s the kind of “love” that will result in America being the victim of an honor killing….

I would never make a good politician. I refuse to be anything but blunt.
He loves the idea of the Socialist States of Obama but does not love this country as she stands today.
Elizabetty on October 17, 2008 at 6:08 PM
What else could Palin say? Under the circumstances, I think she did okay.
But the more detailed answer is this. Obama loves not America, but his vision for America. He loves the America of his Marxist socialist dreams. But he hates traditional America, America as we know it, just like the rest of his revolutionary leftist gang.
This is the problem with Republicans. They honestly think the mass media and the Democrats are honorable people.

Sarah Palin is like a breath of fresh air. I’m just a knuckle draggin plaid shirt wearing ne’er do well Alberta redneck, who happens to be a plumber. If it was possible I’d vote for Sarah Palin…and that guy, um, Cindy’s husband.
Blowback

C’mon now, what the hell can she say? “I think Osama Obama hates America” would get her fifty times the negative coverage she’s already getting.
And the wimpy righties would be all over her, too.
Don’t nit-pick. Palin telling the whole truth about Obama might cheer you up, but it wouldn’t raise our numbers.
