Wait until Americans read what’s in the Senate’s 451 page version. I hope the Senate phone bank operators are prepared for the onslaught.

I guess having Bush, the Democrats and their media telling us that the world will come to an end might panic most folks into doing just about anything. This will be the political template for a long time if they succeed at this. Any refusal to sign onto any trillion dollar bill they dream up will be called “inaction” and “fiddling as Rome burns”. If it doesn’t pass the first day, the media will put out the message “A second chance to get something done” and it will pass on day two.

They’ll never know. This is being presented and going to vote TODAY, before any working American has time to go home and read it.

It doesn’t matter what it says. Failure to pass it is “inaction”.

Heh. Is it seriously 451 pages long? I still have never understood why those bills have to be so long. The best I have come up with is that it makes it easier to hide stuff in them.

Read it and Weep (or scream). Pass it around. E- mail it.
This bailout won’t fix the problem, no-one is even addressing the problem! I’m no economist, but if the system can collapse like this, then it isn’t fundamentally sound. Change it.

Funny that’s not what the Congressman were saying this morning on CNBC.
Blowback

“It’s amazing what a 778-point drop in the Dow Jones Industrial Average, wiping out $1.2 trillion in equity, can do to change public opinion.”
Yup.

This is the same American public intestinal fortitude that has served us so well through our war in Iraq.
