If this issue was so important, why do we have the two people that we have to choose from for president?
To me, looking at the choice for president, immigration is irrelevant.

Because McCain lied to Republican voters during the height of the primary when he said that he “got the message on immigration.”

So our government picks Amnestiy so that the “minority” opinions may be “equally” represented? {sigh}
When being an illegal garners more respect from the government of that nation that it gives to it’s own people… just turn out the light, the party is over.

The commies have to build walls to keep people in, we have to build walls to keep people out, and the “Liberals” think we oughta be more like the commies.

I just read this from an article in a UK paper about Englands immigration issues…very telling.
I have this year reached the age of 75. I know, that I have lived in this country the best years that this country has had. Those between 1950 and 1990. This country, without any doubt has degraded itself with political correctness, health and safety. The hospitals are not an improvement on those of yesteryear. Surgery had improved dramatically, hospital cleanliness no. We had a car that had a top speed of 65 mph. so what, if it took us longer to get where we wanted to go. Very soon very few people will be able to own a car. It will be too expensive to maintain. Oh how sad this country has become. Population is increasing to fast a rate, the England that was is soon to disappear, it will be only to be found in history books.

Bottom line is expect at least 4 more years of open borders and multiple pushes for Shamnesty from both of these losers.

Has anyone sent this to McCain?
I understand completely the Dems push for amnesty, it increases their voter base. But I am 100% baffled as to why McCain would support it. Especially given his support among Hispanics wqhich is less than that of ‘W’.
I also wish the WSJ types would take the long view and stop supporting amnesty. In the long run this only hurts them because these people vote for Democrats and Democrats are hostile to business.

I think rewarding people who break the law is wrong, regardless of which party the future USA citizens will vote for.
Third, I still haven’t received an answer to my question from the John McCain camp:
“why does McCain think that people who are here illegally, many of whom have engaged in Social Security number fraud, Identity theft, credit card fraud, and document fraud, and who flood our Emergency rooms with their outpatient healthcare needs, and many of whom have resisted all attempts at assimilation and learning basic English……and then given amnesty by out-of-touch USA politicians who live in gated communities……all of a sudden are transformed into card-carrying voters who embrace limited government, and the ideals of principaled conservatism??”
Illegal immigration, and the accompanying Amnesty, is the quickest way to Socialized medicine in this country.

The WSJ crowd of corporatists want serf labor, and they want to dump the social and medical costs on American citizens. This can go into the touchy area of how many small-scale economic transactions have gone underground because of the taxes and sheer burden of paperwork and government. Yet, I think there is less excuse for the corporatists, who are in a leadership class. They bankroll liberals, sign-on to things like the global warming hoax, and are generally ungrateful to America for making their existence possible. The H1-b visas are another quick fix for them, as is outsourcing. “Free” trade isn’t free to American citizens who are displaced by these mechanisms. For the reasons touched on here, I believe large corporations are part of the problem and have no taste for trying to fix the problems they helped create.
The bottom line rules all. Any business would be foolish not to pay attention to it, but there are some values it does not contain.
Conservatives generally cover themselves by saying they want a halt to illegal immigration. I’ll go a step further and contend that much of legal immigration ought to be curtailed until the multi-culti madness is strangled and a culture of assimilation is restored.
If the leftists, corporatists, and clueless elites have their way, we will go the way of Europe and England. Multi-culti is hatred of Western Civilization and those same elites will ultimately pay the price too.

31% of the country want to turn the United States into a third world country. I guess that’s about right. Right?

I think rewarding people who break the law is wrong, regardless of which party the future USA citizens will vote for.
Second, I think the problem of Tourist Visa over-stays is a permanent problem, which John McCain and the Open Borders crowd conveniently chose to ignore at the peril of the country.
