The central ayah that deals with abrogation is Surah 2:106:
None of Our revelations do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, but We substitute something better or similar: Knowest thou not that Allah Hath power over all things?
No worries, folks. Remember he’s in Europe. He’s using their metric years. Just ‘cuz we’re a bunch of inch-pound-gallon bitter clingers doesn’t mean the messiah’s wrong.
Hugo Chavez? Fidel Castro? Or maybe Obama plans on Michelle running for president in 2016 (the 21st Century version of Lurleen Wallace), and Obama will be her “Ambassador to the World.”
Wethal on July 20, 2008 at 6:52 PM
Perhaps that’s a little peep into the permanent majority plan that the Ds have waiting in the wings of ‘08?

Everyone is being too harsh. He’s just including the two years before he steps into office in January that the news media have treated like him he’s the president already and ignoring President Bush. It was simple mistake.
I’m sure that there is a connection to the 57 states (and 1 left to go). I’m starting to really wonder how much time BHO ever spent in the US. He seems to know nothing of our country.

My posts clearly show I have criticized Obama plenty for his verbal gaffes. So obviously you can’t read and perhaps it is you who are full of horsesh*t.

Do you think McCain has made any verbal gaffes? Think really, really hard if you can.
I guess when you’re faced with the facts, you just shrivel up and get all flustered. But that’s okay.
In this latest “8 to 10 years” non-story, it’s kind of obvious that Obama was, as he was talking off the cuff, to pad his talk to make it sound more eloquent with a range of years instead of saying the exact number. An undeniable mistake, but to suggest that it shows an utter lack of understanding of the US constitution is a bit much. I’m more concerned that he’s cockily saying he’s going to win back to back terms. So again, if you’re going to nitpick about every single word Obama says and hold him to 100% accuracy, then you have to do it for McCain too, otherwise you’re a double standard bozo.
If that last paragraph too long and challenging for you to absorb, I apologize.
