As for Barack Obama, 25% Democrats say he should drop out. That’s down from 22% following the Pennsylvania Primary, 26% earlier in April and unchanged from 22% in March.
I actually told my wife the other day that this is her only option. I also think it is viable. She has the name recognition and at least as likable as McCain and Barry O to everyone less the Ultra Right, hippies and Blacks. She would impress a lot of people with her uber-tenacity if she ran as an Independent. She could shed a mess of the pandering to the kooks on the Left that have abandoned her and she would be beholden to no one in either party. Why not? No one thought Obama would make it this far much less be the presumptive nominee for the Dems.

Actually I think HRC would tend to take Dem votes which would otherwise go to McCain. McCain is running a few points behind both Obama & HRC right now. That’s presumably even with the extra support that McCain gets from anti-Obama Dems in the McCain-Obama matchup and the extra support that McCain gets from anti-HRC Dems in the McCain-HRC matchup.
If nobody won a majority of the Electoral Votes, there could be a bargain between two of the candidates (prior to the casting of the Electoral Votes). If that didn’t happen, the election would be thrown into the House of Representatives.

I was wondering when the idea of Hillary going indie was going to come up.
Let ‘em all run… HRC, Nader, Gore, Bloomie, Barr, Paul, etc… It’s time to shake up the two-party system. Maybe we’ll get lucky and end up with a fractured parliamentary mess that accomplishes nothing. Remember in the ’90s when gov’t shut down and nobody noticed?
Blowback

Hillary could run with McCain, as centrists, or independents, or she could run as an independent and trounce both men.

That’d be sweet watching Hiplatine ‘do a Perot’ on Obambi. She prolly rather run against an incumbant McCain in 2012.
38% of Democrats Want Clinton to Drop Out
May they meet each other in Denver.

“29% of Dems want Hillary to run as an independent”
That. Is an outstanding idea.

CHAOS is a beautiful thing.

Hey I like it too!
Can you say gridlock boys and girls?
There! I knew you could.
Gridlock is our only hope to survive the next four years of these three fools.
And I never thought I’d say anything like this: Nonetheless; Hillary is the least foolish of the three.
