Video: “Keep your doctor, change your Senator”

posted at 3:16 pm on January 2, 2014 by

WaPo’s Chris Cillizza called this spot running against Sen. Jeanne Shaheen “the ad every Democrat should be scared of in 2014.”  Worry away, Jeff Merkley:

This web ad was produced by the campaign of Dr. Monica Wehby, a female medical doctor who’s a leading candidate to challenge Merkley in the fall.  Over-the-air commercials will need to be shorter, of course, but there’s obviously an avalanche of ammunition waiting to be unleashed.  As a phsyician, Wehby would occupy the high ground on Obamacare (which has been especially horrible in Oregon), and would make it rather difficult for Merkley to play the “war on women” card as demagogic plan B.

Let’s try that again…

Godspeed, Dr. (and hopefully future Senator) Wehby!

Well this is Oregon we are talking about. A state with a sizable loony lib population. These ads are only effective targeting the makers of which Oregon is in short supply.

Holy crap, +1000

Hey, Oregon had a Republican Senator before Merkley. This is winnable. Especially since ObamaCare is destroying the healthcare market.

We all want everybody covered. We all have the same goals, just different ways of getting at it. The goal is to have access for everybody and that can still be implemented.

So, she’s just socialist-lite?

Access is not the problem. That’s the liberal argument.

Cost is the problem.

..respectfully, how on earth did you arrive at that conclusion? Relax, old son. One must learn to walk before one flies. (Particularly in those sappy CoverOregon commercials.) Eliminate the assshole senator who is in bed with StupidAsssedKneegrowPOTUSCare, replace him with a doc who knows the territory, and then go for the gusto.

And another state with a sizable loony lib population is ejoying THEIR website today:

http://www.twincities.com/health/ci_24835030/mnsure-website-down-minnesota-residents-still-seek-health

But hey, no worries. If you couldn’t use the website, at least you could call the hotline for help. The average wait time was only 62 minutes.

And folks were saying the ObamaCare (or “MNsure” in this case) experience was going to be as bad as dealing with the DMV. Not hardly. The DMV is nowhere that bad.

A great ad. Should be very effective.

The only question I have is… why would someone this talented want to be a senator? I’m sure it’s for the right reasons but some of the slimiest people on the planet rule and occupy that chamber.

Hospital ER’s are turning people away, many claiming they signed up for ObamaCare – many saying they have still not been invoiced by the insurance company. I thought treating people in ER’s regardless of income or insurance was a Federal Law?

Maybe people should say they are illegals? Oh OK come on in!!!!
