… it may be that you’re getting screwed by your real estate broker — almost literally. A lawsuit in Florida alleges that a broker purposely listed a house at too high a price, so that he could use it to conduct an affair with another real-estate agent (via Instapundit):

A North Jersey couple claim their real estate agent took steps to keep potential buyers away from their vacant home so he could use it for “sexual escapades” with a female colleague, trysts were reportedly captured on hidden cameras.

The Record reports the Denville couple recently sued the two agents, alleging breach of trust and fiduciary duties by them and their firm. The suit seeks compensatory damages for invasion of privacy, infliction of emotional distress, breach of contract, trespass of land and other civil counts.

The hidden cameras are a handy strategy sometimes.

That section of Florida looks awfully similar to NJ.

Sometimes closing the deal is the only thing that matters.

“A lawsuit in Florida alleges that a broker . . . “.

I know, I know. Shocking that a couple of Realtors in New Jersey can be sued by homeowners who live in Florida. (It’s jurisdictional.)

Guess the Realtors give the noun “Layperson” a whole new meaning, eh?

It’s called “the NSA revenge,” I’m told….

Why is anyone shocked about this?

Using YOUR HOUSE for a “quickie” is a lot cheaper than a noon-delight hotel room !

The ‘trusted’ real estate chick (cougars in real estate) has your key…meets boyfriend to “show him your home”….get the picture?

Heck, knew of this Korean real-estate woman that had an ‘exclusive listing’ on a nice big house…she moved friends and family in it for a couple of months to live on the cheap…Once discovered, it took a week for the homeowner to rid the house of the kimchee stink after he exposed this little racket..

It is possible, under “diversity of citizenship” for a couple residing in Florida to sue the New Jersey real estate brokers in a Florida Court.

TBS, I think it’s just a typo.

Or, it could be a vacation home in Florida. It’s a New Jersey couple doing the suing.

For pretty much any situation involving bad behavior, really.
